ceeb Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 After hearing everyone here rave about them, I ordered one yesterday from ZZounds. It should be delivered today. There are a couple of guys over at the Steel Guitar Forum that use them as their main rig on the road. So there has been a big run on them over there too. I have an Amp Can, for those cordless occasions, but this looks a hundred times better. How are you guys that have had them for a little while liking them?
Craig Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Love it! It takes up no space, it's loud enough for everyday home use, and has lots of cool little effects if you feel like messing around. I'm impressed for a little tiny amp.
Mobster Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I really like mine. It's a great little practice amp, can get surprisingly loud for a small amp, and it's battery powered, so it can go anywhere. The direct out for recording is nice also.
doody Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I have used mine everyday since I got it. I love it. I have only used the wall wart once, the day I got it. The great battery life claim is no bull. Get a set of rechargeable batteries and your good to go. I suppose I went through 3 or 4 sets of alkalines before Jason01 pointed out I am a moron. Most fun so far? Hooking it up to my acoustasonic and and turning it to R-fier. Chrunchy metal from an acoustic amp is just funny and sounds killer too. I run my Duotone's mag pups into it then into line b on my acoutasonic, piezo into line A and its loads of fun. Dial up the delay on the cube and I accompany myself:)
Jeff R Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Mine gets used daily also and it's easily the MVP of my stable of gear. It kept me up jamming until 2 a.m. the past two nights, without waking up the wife and kids!
Craig Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Use the wall jack and you don't even have to have rechargeable batteries!
pesocaster Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I've said it before:Most legal fun you can have with $125 .... hahahahtons of hours on mine since the birth of my daughter.... a cool baby-friendly amp.... the past week I've been running a Tube King and wah in front of it through the JC setting.... sounds REALLY good! very pedal friendly amp too....
Kurt L Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Very cool little amp - I got one two weeks ago and have been loving it.My neighbors like it, too.
Brooks Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 played my pals microcube this weekend, cool little amp. it could use a bigger speaker, but then it wouldn't be so micro...
Brewmaster Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Going on 4 months and I'm still liking mine. It is my 12:00 -3:00 A.M. solution. I go into my study/office/ music room, close the door and nobody hears me. It's an insomniacs dream (oxymoron?) come true.
sirDaniel Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 microcube, hamer, empty case to throw money in. new age way to make a living...
txisan Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Fantastic amp!!! Get the mine last week and I play again atnight!!Bigggg sounds from a little moooonster!!!!
ceeb Posted March 3, 2005 Author Posted March 3, 2005 DANG!!Foiled again. It was out for delivery, and now I find it's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. When I called, they told me the guy attempted delivery, but it wasn't on his truck. Doh!I like buying from ZZounds because of the instatnt gratification of it. Usually I get stuff shipped UPS ground and recieve it the next day.I'm having them hold it at the UPS depot for pick up, so I'll be assured of having a new toy to play with for the weekend.
black magic Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I am seriously considering one of these puppies. Too many positive coments!! Jack.
Jeff R Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Considering your love of halfstacks, Jack, you'd need about 36 cubes, 6 by 6, to get the desired effect hahaSeriously, you'd probably enjoy the Recto sound. I know me and Mobster rave about it for the $$$
