bbobb24 Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Might anyone be interested in a 4 string Cruise bass? It's black with pearloib pick guard and 2tek bridge. I picked it up about a year or so ago from Pastor paul. It's in good condition, it's been played, but there are no issues. The original hard case is with it. If anyone is interested I can try to get some pictures up tonight. Please e-mail me at bbachman6 at yahoo dot comThanks!!
bbobb24 Posted November 19, 2007 Author Posted November 19, 2007 I was thinking $500 + shipping and paypal, does that sound fair? I'm not sure what the going price is on these.
bbobb24 Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 I'm trying to post some pictures, but like usual I can't. So, if anyone is interested let me know and I could e-mail you some pics. Thanks, Pics can be found here http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/bbobb24/cruise5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/bbobb24/cruise4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/bbobb24/cruise3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/bbobb24/cruise2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/bbobb24/cruise1.jpg Thanks for the tip Chris!!
HAMERMAN Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Try PM'ing Zilmo. Last I knew he was still looking for (more) 2Tek's.
MCChris Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Nice price, especially with the EMG electronics. Killer sounds outta those pickups.
Steve Haynie Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 EMG's with a BTC EQ were available as a factory option. One like the bass in the photo came through the music store where I worked. The list price jumped up to around $1895, I think. What electronics are in the bass in this thread?
bbobb24 Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 What. You don't need a Black bass anymore? I figured I'd need it for another week or so, give or take....why you know something?? EMG's with a BTC EQ were available as a factory option. One like the bass in the photo came through the music store where I worked. The list price jumped up to around $1895, I think. What electronics are in the bass in this thread? I don't know what electronics are in it, it does have active EMG's in it. Sorry, I'm not much of a gear head...but I'm getting better
belgian Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 A friend is very jealous on my Cruise Bass (Gotoh version), that I don't want to part from. Would you ship to Belgium ?
bbobb24 Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 A friend is very jealous on my Cruise Bass (Gotoh version), that I don't want to part from. Would you ship to Belgium ?Sure, but I don't have any idea of what it would cost to ship there. E-mail me your address and all and I'll see what UPS says about shipping there. When shipping overseas how do they handle the taxes and all? That's always confused me
belgian Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 I'll call him tomorrow. You can just ship it, the taxes are our concern.
marcnorth Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I think you'll find USPS is a lot cheaper than UPS or FedEx. It's just as fast as the cheapest price for the other 2 at less than half the cost. Use Priority Mail International. Go to the USPS website and you can estimate cost.I know a lot of people won't ship International but I think it's is not very hard at all.
belgian Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 So this one is coming to Belgium... A friend is playing bass and uses a Fender precision, he wanted to step over to a Fender Jazz and came along. He tried out my Cruise with the Gotoh bridge. For months he's calling if I wont sell it to him, because he can't find a Jazzbass that can stand to the Cruise. So I talked him in to this one.... with the guarantee, if he does not likes it, I'll keep it myself.

Go to the USPS website and you can estimate cost.I know a lot of people won't ship International but I think it's is not very hard at all.Warning about sending guitars overseas by USPS:I sent a Fender Custom Shop Strat overseas by USPS and they lost it... it was AWOL for two months and the buyer and I were both freaking out over it... two months later it shows up at my door with a note from USPS claiming that the customs paperwork was missing... I had the guy at the counter fill out the forms with me and it was all there so they lost it. USPS wanted to charge me to ship it AGAIN... I took it to FedEx and they got it there in less than a week and I could view the package status real-time... FedEx is more expensive, but it's worth it!
marcnorth Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Its better to fill out all your forms online. That way you can check and double check the Info. Then all you do is go pay. The tracking leaves a lot to be desired with the USPS. The most you can see is when it clears customs. The other guys have better tracking but the price more than doubles. And they are just as capable of losing or destroying your package.
bbobb24 Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 Sadly this bass is back on the market, anyone interested please e-mail me at bbachman6 at yahoo
bbobb24 Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 One last bump.......thanks for looking!
belgian Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Bumped up by me, USPS didn't wanted to ship it over here because of the oversize and the other ones were too expensive (350 $). Got a very fast re-fund from Bob. This guy is great to do business with !
marcnorth Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 I must have been in too big of a box. I just shipped one to Germany through the USPS today and it was a Hamer bass. My box was 50x20x7. I think the total dimentions have to be less than 108". Mine came in at 104". Use a smaller box.
