FS - Eclipse 12 string - blue/green

For Sale - 12 String Eclipse in the greenish bluish color. It is in excellent condition. Serial # 540750. I bought it used I think in 2000. I have not played it much since I bought it. I gigged with it ONE time and realized I just didn't want to deal with tuning it at a show. I also recorded it one time. I really like this guitar, but every time I play it I realize that it just isn't my thing. I'm not a collector, so I'm selling it to raise cash for a different 6 string. Or, if anyone would be interested in trading even up for either a gold top USA Studio P90 or a 25th anniversery Artist in good condition I would really be interested in that. Those are 2 Hamers I've always wanted to add to my arsenal. Otherwise I'm asking $800 for it + packing and shipping costs. Domestic shipping only.

I believe I may have corresponded with 1 or 2 regular posters to this forum about this guitar. I have been trying to sell it locally in Chicago on Craigslist without much luck. I think my price is in the right ballpark for the condition it is in. I tried to attach a pic here, but I can't get it to accept my attachment. I'll be happy to email pics.

Please note, the case I have for it is not a Hamer case. It is not as nice as a Hamer case, but it holds the guitar securely.

Well I just can't seem to drum up enough interest to find an actual buyer for this guitar. You know if anyone has doubts, I live in Chicago. Have someone you trust come by to check out the guitar. I'll be happy to show it! The only reason I want to sell this guitar is because I have limited space for guitars and I'd rather have a different Hamer that I'd actually play. If I moved something, I'd be all over this one-I love the Eclipse 12s. Unfortunately, all I have for trade bait at the moment (that I can think of) is my SS2 w/LEDs and I'd need cash out of the deal or something else in trade on that. Doesn't sound like you're looking for anything shred-like though either.

I can barely play six strings, twelve is way beyond me. LOL Be patient with the sale, things kind of move slow here. You may want to try either Craigslist or E-bay too. You might actually get more for it there.

I think I can say definitively that you'll have a helluva time fitting the case for any Hamer into another Hamer case.

Dunno for Eclipse, but I can say that my Newport and Newport 12 both fit in the same sized case.

I think I'm going to put my Eclipse on Ebay and see if there are any takers. I have a question that maybe some has an opinion on... I've never shipped a guitar before. Looking for advice and any web links with good info on shipping a guitar. I want to make sure it gets to its next owner in the same condition it is in now. Thanks.

eBay's not a bad way to go; you'll probably get more for it there than you would here! As far as packing goes, we have some good posts on it here, so if you do some searches you'll be able to get lots of info (with pics!). Just make sure you find a box before you list it so you don't keep your buyer waiting.
