nosajwp Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 I'm looking to buy a Vintage S in minty fresh condition (as-new if possible, and willing to pay for it). Not to picky on color. Will consider Floyds, but prefer the regular bridge. Bridge hum or single doesn't matter.I saw the one at Guitar Center, but after talking with them about it, I don't think it's in quite as good of shape as they claim on their used site.
nosajwp Posted May 15, 2008 Author Posted May 15, 2008 While I'm waiting on more info from RobB, anyone else have one to sell(particularly in Aztec Gold)?
e-isle rock Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 This just popped up on Ebay.http://cgi.ebay.com/HAMER-USA-STRAT-EARLY-...1QQcmdZViewItem
stobro Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Well, I have this one that I'm thinking of parting with: The headstock isn't chipped, it's just a shadow of the backdrop (my old shower curtain!) getting in the way. When I bought it several years ago, a previous owner had removed the preamp, making this a strictly passive Vintage S. Someone from the HFC donated a preamp module from another Hamer that I never got around to installing. I like the tone of the Duncan pickups just as they are. $800 gets you the guitar, hardshell case, trem arm and preamp assembly shipped to your door.
nosajwp Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 C'mon guys...I know there are some more out there!

nosajwp Posted May 20, 2008 Author Posted May 20, 2008 Just one...just trying to see what's out there and find the perfect one for me.
kizanski Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Just one...just trying to see what's out there and find the perfect one for me.Understood, but what you fail to realize is that it is a rare occurrence that you will find ONE for sale, not to mention four.Pick one, fercrissakes.
Lockbody Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I can't believe no one else has hit stobro's.$800 is an absolute steal. Last year at this time I would've already emailed him several times by now.
cloakerz Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 you better buy that $800 one before I do. At 800 that is way too cheap to ignore.
ET_KenW Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Brandon's is a good one. It was the first Vintage S I ever saw. He put it on layaway before I could get back to the Music-Go-Round to pick it up. I have kidded him about buying it when he is ready to sell, but I have what I need in my Daytona. But if no one else is interested in it, I may have to break down and follow through with my promise.
ET_KenW Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Yeah!!!!!!!!! Now I can save the gas money for this years summer camping trip.
nosajwp Posted May 24, 2008 Author Posted May 24, 2008 Can't wait to put it though it's paces. I hope it turns out to sound and play as well as people here say they do.I also have a NOS T51F on it's way to me too, in blonde with rosewood board...
