bubbagomez Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Thinking about an Esquire Custom...Anyone build bodies and necks and finish with nitro?
murkat Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 this guy is in nashville~ www.danocaster.comgetting great reviews on TGP, stuff looks great.
RoyB Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 This could be an Esquire easy.http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27021
bubbagomez Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 Dang. I'm so out of the loop. I need an esquire.
Jeff R Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Here's my Jackson tele-shaped Soloist 2003 Fender Esquire GT. That's a joke but not too far off the mark - this sucker KILLS in playability and tone. Best hard rock guitar I've had in years.
data187 Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 i agree with the gts being awesome.i had a one with a cheesy scorpion inlay.it was ugly to look at but played/sounded great.
kizanski Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Jeffro-what's the LP there? Don't get too excited there, Sport. http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...c=26637&hl=
Jeff R Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Hey, the Aria has a '59/JB combo in it now (Cajun Boy felt sorry for it), so its one major weakness is fixed - and quite well.
serial Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Don't get too excited there, Sport. Was curious WHICH lawsuit company it was-looked Greco-ish to me. I've been looking at a lot of the late 70s/early 80s Rising Sun stuff lately...
straightblues Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 For a body check out Guitar Mill. They make really good bodies. Their paint is nice as well. http://guitarmill.com/ Here is my Esquire Custom (or is it crazy!) Anyway, it is a pine body. This one gets amazing tone. I play it a lot. I wish now I would have gone a little less custom. Everyone should enjoy an Esquire at least once in their life.
peedenmark7 Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 mammoth guitars will build you whatever, at least thats what I am told... one cool option is that they have done raised center blocks like a firebird would have , and thats a classy touch , especially to an esquire!!!

I couldn't find it for some reason.
elduave Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Took these in Cambridge, MA on Rich Robinson's solo tour:
bubbagomez Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 I've always enjoyed listening to george lynch. He is partially responsible for my esquire desire.
hamerican gigolo Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Esquires are a lot like LP Jr's. A lot more versitile than people give them credit for.
bubbagomez Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 Sometimes I think of them as a forerunner of the 80s van halen shred guitar, of sorts. One pickup is all you need to get it done. Before... After...
