Jeff R Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Took off work early today to get a head start on my weekend yardwork (I have to work all weekend). Get home and it's raining like a muddafukka. So the JCM 2000's warming up, Centaura 2HB is plugged in, just put a new battery in the SD-1 to send this beeyotch into metal enema mode. Cold Milla Lites in fridge for extra inspiration. Not a wasted afternoon after all - I can work on writing me, Cajun Boy, foodermon and Kajun Kelly's HFC CD Vol. III contribution.Question: I guess you figured - the Cajuns are contributing a very hard rock song. What genre are you guys sending Ted?I hope the next project has as much variety as the first.
Jack C Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Neo-industrial pop metal. I think that was Polara's description of my stuff. It's like metal, only with 1/2 the anger and 1/3 the talent.

Jeff R Posted June 16, 2005 Author Posted June 16, 2005 I'll cover the anger for you, Jack. I just hit a sweep on G string-21st fret, B string-20th fret, high E-19th fret, hammer 24th, then run it back down and repeat (I love the upper fret access on Centauras!)Did that a few times, flooded the Floyd, and came up on a G string harmonic at the 3 and 1/3rd fret with wiggleshudders. Dimebag would be proud LOL
BLuesBuster Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 I'm thinking a polka. Too bad Hamer doesn't make an Accordion, otherwise I would've jumped in
pesocaster Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 If the planets line up just right a Psycho-billy-rocken-ball-buster

hardheartedbill Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 I'm gonna do a fingerstyle jazz tune, I figure people got the rock covered, and my guitar is best for that, I keep trying to make it rock, but it's a jazz based tone in it's heart of hearts
kurtsstuff Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 I'm currently working on my "suzuki omnichord" skills...yeah....you may laugh but...ya ever hear one of these things through a Marshall stack?? huh??? huh?? lol
tomteriffic Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 After my exposure to Johnny Thunders, Carmie and the Minnesota gang at MWJV, I'm thinking in terms of a Punk Polka.
JohnnyB Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 After my exposure to Johnny Thunders, Carmie and the Minnesota gang at MWJV, I'm thinking in terms of a Punk Polka. Like Polkacide? They just celebrated their 20th anniversary. Listen to 'em here. Other samples: Pennsylvania Polka, Who Stole the Kishka?, and Frailich.
Brooks Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 you know me; wanky funky neo jazz, w/ a smattering of powerchords to keep it real.
