Wasn't someone looking for a Mirage I. This one looks really clean. Don't know the seller, just passing along some info. I picked up one of these recently and I love it; finally a "Strat" I can get along with.

Right there with ya'. I was pretty enthusiastic until i saw the top.

Just as well. I'm looking for one to do some serious mods to. I'd hate to tear up one in that condition.

I'm not very familiar with these. Did they all have the toggle to switch out the volume control?

The toggle turns on the bridge pickup only, volume full, tone full, regardless of where the 5-way switch's position. It's a pretty cool feature.

Agreed on the feedback issues. Given the overall number of transactions, I wasn't too worried, but the actual complaints are somewhat troublesome.

Also, this one has been relisted over and over and over. I think someone needs a reality check on price....

I almost bought that guitar last week, but I just had a bad felling about the whole deal so I passed. I had seen the guitar listed on several site & the guy only had one or two post ate each site so I thought it was a scam. Oh well.

BTW: I would love to see a Mirage III come out. H-S-S config with the blended neck heel.

...if you have a good luthier you can create your own Mirage III instead of hoping Hamer will do it.

Auction ended reserve not met with a bid of $961. Not my bid, but I thought it would have sold at that price.

Yea, that was my bid. I like that guitar and might have gone a couple of bucks higher but who knows where the reserve was sitting. I like the other Mirage (with the nicer top) but I can't swing the BIN. Not that I would tell someone what they should sell their guitars for, (and who knows what will go and at what price), just more then I can go.

I do love the way the neck on those Mirages blends to the body.

Oh well....
