chap Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 This thread is very humbling!I'm surprised at how many people leave straps on their guitar when not being played, I've snapped head-stocks off my Hamer by doing that. Maybe I'm just clumbsy...
cspot Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Armitage, my wife says you make me look sane. Thank you!!!!!!!!LOL..I love this post too. I showed my wife and after shaking her head replied " i guess you could be worse"I Believe she means "go buy more gear"
Ted Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Who needs wallpaper.....Hell who needs drywall when you've got guitars. I put it under the heading "social experiment" how long can I go without my wife forcing the issue of finishing the basement. I'm digging that Carvin. If you have an overwhelming urge to send it to me, I can pm you my address . . . I too like the Carvin!!! Nice Natural Quilt on her!
anotherfreak Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 "I Believe she means "go buy more gear"" that's not going to end well, but I like the idea
stobro Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 In my house, I keep my guitars in their cases because it takes up less room that way. Here's my utilitarian solution to the case storage problem:
Brooks Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 cool thread, i like seeing y'alls jamrooms/studios. i'm always surprized how many guitars some folks own! as for wives busting balls r/e expensive hobbies, its the opposite at our house; i have 3 hamers, 2 cheap acoustics, a few small amps etc, but she has 6 of these; they are an amazing black hole vortex of our money and her time, ha. but, they make her happy!
proxmax Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 that gorgeous collections let look mine poor - thank you. now my wife won't kill me for the next buy
atquinn Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Just completed my guitar cabinet! Bought for $185 from Walmart and modified a bit during the build to suit my needs. I decided to just put the cases in there since I don't really have anyplace to put them otherwise. A couple years down the line when I living someplace else with more space, I'll probably build in something to hold the guitars themselves. There's space for 6 cases inside and the hanger I put on the side lets me have one ready to go (currently the Korina Studio Custom with WCR shredders). Also, the cabinet has a built in lock although, I can't for the life of me figure out how the hell it works with the parts they supplied. A $2 part from Home Despot should fix that this weekend. Now pics! -Austin
BubbaVO Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Just completed my guitar cabinet!Cool! Now what do you have for your amps?
LordOfTheThighs Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 HayBurners Hmmmm .... that'd make a good name for a band. Nice looking bunch of hawses.
atquinn Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Just completed my guitar cabinet!Cool! Now what do you have for your amps?Amp, singular. I just have an atomic 118, that I hardly ever use. I would go fine right next to the cabinet, but I'm going to try to sell it to make more space since I use my GT10 with headphones 90% of the time.-Austin
