black magic Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 Any Diablo players here, if so show off your axes bro`s!! Any famous Diablo players out there in big bands present or past? Thanks-Jack.
Guest JackButler Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 YOU RANG?!?!? LOL!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v193/Mail2JackButler/Mvc-004s.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v193/Mai.../Untitled01.jpg
Guest JackButler Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 Jack, there were some old photos in some of the past issues of Guitar World w/ Donais (sp?) from Shadows Fall playing his natural Diablo 1.
kurtsstuff Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 I'm thinkin of grabbing one or two....I saw Guitar Georges when he came over to my house and they look to be a pretty sweet guitar..I've had blinders on to anything other than Californians for the last 15-20 years or so.... lol
black magic Posted March 6, 2005 Author Posted March 6, 2005 Nice pics, Travis, is that the Traveling Diablo :-) Jack B. I love the Burgundy color man, I wish Hamer made more in that color, but trans red is cool too!! Jack.
Jeff R Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 The only "famous" Diablo players I can recall are one of the members of Shadows Fall, who did a stint with one for a while.Oh yeah, and JackButler.
doody Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 ...and they go rediculously cheap on Ebay. I'm not a good enough player to be able to shred but when you can get an American made superstrat that cheap you just have to get one. I have a Chap that I got cheaper than a epiphone. You can get Diablo's for as cheap as 300 and centauras even cheaper. They are the best bang for the buck guitars going.See what I mean? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...7304823746&rd=1
black magic Posted March 6, 2005 Author Posted March 6, 2005 The Diablo`s have a nice medium thick neck on them and the direct mount pickups are it. I like the ones with the regular headstocks. I am actually buying my old one back from Travis, I thank him for being gracious enough to offer it back to me. Jack.
Travis Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 Yeah, it's a killer playing killer sounding axe. I'm just getting away from using the Floyd so it doesn't get the play time that it deserves.
black magic Posted March 6, 2005 Author Posted March 6, 2005 Ooh!! I love the natural, my favorite color!! Which headstock does it have bro? Thanks-Jack.
AdmiralB Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 Reverse. Also got a nonreverse II in pumpkin orange that's waiting for some parts.
Hamer95USA Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 Hey everybody, I saw this posting about the Hamer USA Diablo guitars. I thought I should show some pictures of my 1994 Diablo II. I found a buyer for my white 1991 Ibanez RG-570 now, so this guitar gets a lot of my play time lately. Here it is:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v610/Gui...lobodyfront.jpg I'm glad you like my guitar Kurt. Hey Admiral B, if you ever decide to sell your natural finish Diablo, let me know. I have the sister of it with the matching finish. Guitar George
jettster Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I just need a Diablo II to go along with this. This thing just had a workout today over at John's (ZR) He was kind enough to set up the new tubes in my amp and this thing was one of the test mules. Thanks again dude, had a blast.
black magic Posted March 7, 2005 Author Posted March 7, 2005 Ah!! I have the same one, but with a regular headstock!! Jack.
Hamer95USA Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Hello Blackmagic, cruster, and Jettster: Thanks for showing my 1994 natural finish Diablo II some love. I took her out to rehearsals tonight and did some recordings. She kicked ass in the rehearsal/recording studios. I have no worry with her on or offstage!! I did a demo earlier this evening at my friend's studio. Guitar George
KeyOfZ Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Hey guys/gals, Here is a pic of my 95' Diablo in Black It's the one with the DiMarzios in it and it my only guitar with a Floyd on it. My only complaint is that it doesn't have Jumbo frets on it. I was thinking of sending to BCRGreg for some new frets but I'm not sure if it would make more sense just to wait until Hamer makes a decent "shredder" or "Super-Strat" again. Out of all my guitars this one gets the least playing time. I got it as NOS from Ebay a few years ago for $400. I just wish these came with big ol' fatty frets on them.
jwhitcomb3 Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I've got an orange Diablo with a reverse headstock. I replaced the stock pickups with Rios: Muy Grande and Tallboy humbuckers with splitters on the push-pull pots. Makes for a very versatile guitar! The pickups required some extra routing.-Jonathan
