velorush Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Oh that is spectacular! Does it have a push/pull or something to get the neck/bridge combination? I love that they used the Tele bridge. Dare I ask how much?Call Greg at BCR Music and Sound for pricing info.edited by pirateflynnReally very sorry Greg and Mods, didn't consider how that might be taken... wasn't how it was meant...-Jeff
hamerhead Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I was on the phone with Greg when that came in. I heard his jaw hit the floor when he first opened the case, then I heard it again when he put it on the scale.Damn, Greg - that's way better than your description (although you were kinda hard to understand with all that droolin' and stuff....).
BCR Greg Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 How does Fakimba sound compared to Limba? Fakimba is like a nice combination of super light swamp ash and korina. Very open, lots of upper harmonics and stupidly light weight. Unplugged, this guitar is almost as loud as an acoustic.

BCR Greg Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 It is. Other Fakimba guitars(sold and gone) that we had done....... This one's quilt maple over Fakimba, and it is scary good....
BCR Greg Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 It's damn near perfect picture weather, so I took some more pics.... Yup, it's cool.
BCR Greg Posted May 23, 2009 Author Posted May 23, 2009 Thanks to Kenny Jones for taking a few pics at the factory today, we have blackmail fodder of Kenny and his spawn with my Fakimba X....... How does Fakimba taste, brother?
sonic1974 Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 See .... there's K. Jones. Great photo! Cute kid. Guitar is very cool as well.
BCR Greg Posted May 23, 2009 Author Posted May 23, 2009 He's a great kid. When he was one year old, we dropped by the Jones household on a trip to Houston. Kenny showed us a bunch of his guitars(he has a few) and then I went into the kitchen where the younger was being fed Cheerios by his lovely mom. I said Hello and he immediately held out a piece of cereal for me to eat. I did, and he grinned huge.THAT is a good kid. It's in the genes.
