59burst Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Funny. I caught the tail end of it last night-good to see the whole thing. I'm not sure that second guy knew who they were-no reaction at all.

cmatthes Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 That was pretty funny...and kinda scary. The image of Slash on that Schwinn Stingray with the Gorilla practice amp in tow cracked me up last night!
chap Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 That was awesome thanks for posting!Big fan of Conan and Slash. I didn't realize Conan was so tall! Those double neck Gibsons are pretty reasonably priced yes?(or was I loooking at an import model)Since I'm relatively anonymous, guess I don't mind admitting that I would scream like a 10 year old girl if Slash showed up in my front door. I'm a huge fan...
Guest pirateflynn Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 It's amazing how expensive those Stingrays are now. I had a couple of beauties back in the day.
cmatthes Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 It's amazing how expensive those Stingrays are now. I had a couple of beauties back in the day.Always wanted a Stingray, a LemonPeeler or an OrangeCrate.I had the sparkle banana seat on my POS bike though - that worked for me!
Rockola Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 We saw that last night ~ even the wife was cackling.I had a Lemon Peeler in my youth that my dad bought a police action. Super cool to look at but almost as heavy as my Marshall 4212 combo, I kid you not. The weight wore the novelty off real, real fast.
silentman Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I turned on the tube as that was running. Funny stuff. The Gorilla actually sounded pretty good.

Slash plays through it and sounds like Slash.
Frank Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Good equipment's expensive - good hands are priceless!
adgc Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 It's amazing how expensive those Stingrays are now. I had a couple of beauties back in the day.Conan, Conan, Conan....$400(?!?) Schwinn Fastback- 3-speed, no fenders, missing a front brake & handle, but shock absorber seat from a Krate... I'd give it a 6 of 10. BTW: There was a bar in Raleigh, NC called the "Stingray Room" - you guessed it - the entire upper perimeter of the bar was lined with mint condition 'banana seat' bikes of all makes: Impressive!

bubs_42 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Only famous guitar players I ever met was Slash and Kerri Kelly. Slash was why I started playing guitar. Couldn't think of a single word to say. He was cool though..

Couldn't think of a single word to say. He was cool though.. I sat next to a stark naked Slash at Smart Bar in Chicago one crazy night. Naked except for the top hat, of course lol. I gotta say I misted up when I met Eddie Van Halen and gave him one of my band's CDs. This was when I worked at the Hard Rock in Chicago and a bunch of rock stars were in town for a Jason Becker benefit concert in the mid-'90s. EVH couldn't have been cooler, And he wanted to nail every female server in the place, a Latina named Julieta in particular (can't say I blame him; we all did lol).
