Disturber Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 "BLACK SABBATH REUNITES TO RECORD FIRST NEW STUDIO ALBUM IN 33 YEARS AND LAUNCH MASSIVE WORLD TOUR IN 2012 OZZY OSBOURNE, TONY IOMMI, GEEZER BUTLER AND BILL WARD UNVEIL PLANS ON 11/11/11AT A LOS ANGELES PRESS CONFERENCE AT THE WHISKY A GO-GO, WHERE THE BAND PERFORMED THEIR FIRST LOS ANGELES DATE EXACTLY 41 YEARS AGO "Okay. Might be good might be bad. If Rick Rubin produces the chances that it will turn out okay seems a bit more promising at least, although that new ZZ top song was hit and miss.I saw a reunion gig, but can't remember which year - 1998 maybe? It was great though, really. Although since then Ozzy lost it for real, did the family sit com thingy on MTV, did at least one face lift and seems genrally tired from old age.
diablo175 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I'd drop the small fortune to see the legends do it live- just for the sake of seeing them. Missed them when I was young and REALLY digging their stuff.
Brooks Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I'd drop the small fortune to see the legends do it live- just for the sake of seeing them. Missed them when I was young and REALLY digging their stuff.i'l prolly be there, but won't be shocked if both are sub par.
alantig Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I don't know (sorry - no reference intended) what the chemistry with Ozzy will be like, but the reunion with Dio under the Heaven and Hell name was pretty damn good. Lots of energy there, and good music as well.Ozzy? I haven't been overly encouraged by what he's done lately. Nothing in years has grabbed me enough to buy it, other than the Blizzard/Diary box set.Alan
Thundernotes Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Shouldn't they all be nicknamed "Geezer" at this point? God love them - if they still have something in their hearts then I'm always happy to see the older rockers keep going. If it's just for money, it shows quickly.
analogsystem Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I'd love to see it live but I'm not holding my breath for the album.
hardheartedbill Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 No Ozzy of any kind for me following the screwing of Dailsly and Kerslake (sp).
Brooks Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 No Ozzy of any kind for me following the screwing of Dailsly and Kerslake (sp).actually, this year they reissued blizzard & diary w/ original bass/drum tracks, and they are geting their royalties.ps- what WAS the last hard rock/metal album you paid for? and when was that? haha
