cmatthes Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 So that wouldn't be "aftermarket"? (Just not a "paint job") Looks great!
theweblady Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 OMG BURK!! i have been looking for you and that guitar...can we talk?
mc2 Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Peedenmark is loosing his touch if Burk still owns that Dayglo Blitz after four months. That's plenty of time to sell your children, car or house 😀😀😀 Stunningly cool guitar Burk...in an 80s sort of way. Wish they had video footage from the day, back in the 80s, that you walked into the store and first saw THAT and bought it. Shades of Wayne and Garth in "Wayne's World"....

This would have never happened a few years ago. And what an anticlimactic ending to a 4 years old story. There are sharks jumping all over this bitch.

Cascio had all kinds of cool Hamers back in those days didn't they? I used to go there just to look at them and dream of owning one. I was too young and underfunded at the time. I can't remember all the ones they had, but I recall flourescent finish Steve Stevens I's, various Chapparals, TLE's, Vectors, Blitzes. I remember them having a couple of Chapparal 12 string guitars. I remember a green Chapparal hard tail with a tune-o-matic bridge/tailpiece.

I think it was Art Martinez that i use to deal with. I got a really nice '63 burgundy mist strat (this was just before the Elliot Easton strat was the GW centerfold the prices went insane), and at least 4-50's Teles from him. That was a prime shop!!! Also remember Record Head in WI that had alot of cool vintage and other guitars (besides the bootleg concert tapes). Peter
peedenmark7 Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 Art M. Passed away a number of years ago. Great guy ! I still kick myself in the A$$ every time I think about the solid flame maple Virt that hung in the store. It sat quite a while.. I'd go in and think to myself, who is the idiot that needs 36 frets and a hot rail pickup... My how ones thoughts change over time.
peedenmark7 Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 Kiz, I know , and I almost got sick typing that statement. Sure it would be REALLY nice to have this one back, but it doesn't matter what kind of money you throw around if the owner doesn't want to sell it . Coming to the realization that the thrill of the chase was better than the kill for me , makes it a whole lot easier to walk away these days. If it's meant to be , then it will. That said, I just sold a guitar, and the temperature in my back pocket is rising... Oh the pain, the pain
