Has anyone had experience with Bogner Alchimist series?

If you've heard them, know someone with one, heard bad things, heard good things, please let me know. They seem like a lot of amp for the money. How do they compare to other Bogners?

Thanks in advance,

I had one for a while. A great amp with tons of features. When I took out the chassis, I found orange drop capacitors, so pretty good build quality. I traded mine for a Marshall cab, but if I had the money I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again, especially for how low they're going new.

A buddy of mine had one and eventually sold it. He had offered it to me, but a lot of the reviews I read online about it characterized it as "dark", which I didn't want since I use humbuckers 99% of the time and hate to sound muffled. I didn't get a chance to play my buddy's before he got rid of it. My advice is to check out some video demos of it. I've been looking for "the" amp for years now and video reviews are very helpful.

I'm set on amps, at least in terms of what my finances will currently allow, but this is a no-brainer price if you're in the market.

I had the 2x12 combo for about a year. I thought it was a pretty cool amp. Considering I sold mine due to its size and weight, $500 would be very well spent money on the head IMHO.

Hard to go wrong at that price. Main complaints from users seem to be quality control (it is Chinese). I have not tried it myself. At least if you buy from Guitar Denter, you should have no problem returning if it has issues.
