RobB Posted March 13, 2025 Posted March 13, 2025 (edited) Revisited this album today, Loudness' second-to-last (for the verses, anyway)Japanese language LP. ("Disillusion" came out on Denon in Japanese and English versions, pre "Thunder in the East") LP. Memories of myself and my friend plugged into a Deluxe (w/HM-2 pedals, of course), broasting tuscaderos and pounding Millers, trying to cop the songs. Akira is a monster. There, I said it. His sound is very Stratty, but high-gain. "Late Night Lessons" on YouTube has a good vid on him describing how, when soloing, he digs in with the pick so there is a very distinct (but faint) harmonic chirp on most notes. The last track on side 2, "Speed", could have been on a Scorpions record, it is THAT brazen. Edited March 13, 2025 by RobB Quote
