Do I spy a white early style Cruise Bass?

Another one of those LPs you crank on a Saturday and jam to all afternoon. "Sleepy Time" is worth the price of admission alone. Burning, live Cream. Clapton...fergawdsSAKES, man! You were diggin SO deep during this era. What happened?

Promo from '79. I think to fill in the holes that the, "Hey Jude", compilation missed. About 75% mono tracks. The mid-period, rock tracks sound quite punchy in mono, especially the bass/drums.

Got 25% off this one. Still spendy, but in great condition on thick, Japanese vinyl. One of the great metal bands, unfairly dismissed due to their eye-roll inducing (tongue in cheek) Conan getups. Ross the Boss from the Dictators? Hell yes!

My fave band at the moment. Stoner/Doom juggernaut. An earlier, all-instrumental release.

Kill the King
He'll role no more
Strike him dead
The people roar
Kill the King
Take his dead
Down, down, down, down
Oh, kill, oh, kill, oh, oh

Housecleaning music. Reconnected my turntable a couple weeks ago and been listening to some old stuff lately. Some good some roll my eyes about my youthful taste. 😎👍🏁

Huh?.. went totally over my head, I don't understand

It reminded me of lyric sheets in Japanese pressings of Western LPs. Or maybe I'm a spelling-Nazi?

The lyrics are:

Kill the King

He'll rule no more

Strike him dead

The people roar

Kill the King

Take his head

Down, down, down, down

Oh, kill, oh, kill, oh, oh

Oh... I should have proofread it first... I just cut and pasted from these guys. 🤣

Revisited this album today, Loudness' second-to-last (for the verses, anyway)Japanese language LP. ("Disillusion" came out on Denon in Japanese and English versions, pre "Thunder in the East") LP. Memories of myself and my friend plugged into a Deluxe (w/HM-2 pedals, of course), broasting tuscaderos and pounding Millers, trying to cop the songs.

Akira is a monster. There, I said it. His sound is very Stratty, but high-gain. "Late Night Lessons" on YouTube has a good vid on him describing how, when soloing, he digs in with the pick so there is a very distinct (but faint) harmonic chirp on most notes. The last track on side 2, "Speed", could have been on a Scorpions record, it is THAT brazen.
