bcsride Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Seems like a good dealhttp://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=1254219&highlight=hamerI guess the refret is killing the resale price?
Feynman Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Looks like a nice guitar at a fine price. The refret wouldn't bother me.Things that do bug me:- Gold hardware- "Click to see pics" (it's amazing how asking me to click will often just back me right out of a thread)- Gold hardware- Turn off the **** flash. We want to see the guitar- Gold hardware
HoboMan Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Seems like a good dealhttp://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=1254219&highlight=hamerI guess the refret is killing the resale price?I would almost consider it BUT the first thing I would have to do is pay for a refret to get rid of those tiny frets.Damn shame!
crunchee Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Don't forget what Feynman said about the gold hardware!
ghamerinfrance Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Frets are not à bug deal if well done (except for the binding) and i love gold But i have not such goldmine. bbut i fully agree for the clicks
dobieboy Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I'm going to see it tomorrow..I'm pretty excited!
django49 Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Good luck. Good guitar and price if it feels right to you.
Guitar Josh Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 There's also the unnecessary requirement that the buyer wait until payment clears to his bank account. I never make anyone wait on purpose when selling a guitar. It's bad form.
Citrus Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Yup, I HATE gold hardware - does nothing for that guitar
dobieboy Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I bought the guitar today..looks and plays better than anything hanging new at GC. I'm really stoked, btw..the seller has "an early Hamer Vector" that he may be looking to unload. I told him to stop by the hfc!,

I guess he already took the pictures down so I didn't get to see. Looks like that's in your corner now. You know we need pics.

I never make anyone wait on purpose when selling a guitar. It's bad form. As the saying goes, "Trust, but verify." The first part might be optional, depending on the circumstances. Edited to add: The TGP crowd ain't necessarily the same as the HFC crowd. Just sayin'.
Ting Ho Dung Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Again, Congrats to you. I would like to see some guitar pron tho.
