BadgerDave Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 If you have never caught Jonny Lang live, try to rectify that situation ASAP. He was the headliner at this year's BMW Motorcycle Owner's International Rally and absolutely tore the place up. I was familiar with "Lie to Me" and some of his other early work, but didn't realize how immensley talented he is, particularly with respect to his vocal ability. He put on a show that lasted all of 2 hours. Guitars consisted of a Gibson '58 Les Paul reissue and a custom shop 3 pickup Telecaster thinline. His amps were a pair of hot-rodded Fender Deluxe Reverbs. The photo above is the winner of an autographed PRS SE singlecut "Grand Am Trophy Guitar" standing between Jonny and me. Jonny was extremely gracious, genuine and generous with his time. He made a point of stopping and speaking with every one of about twenty people who were backstage after the show. I was there as a representative of the sponor of the concert and guitar raffle. We talked about guitars and motorcycles for a few minutes. Truly a class act.
