Well I'm not much of a purist and ive been looking for a wrap tail bridge so I ordered on of these. I wanted the mojo axe compensated bridge but they don't seem to be inclined to email me back. So with this sale I figured why not. As long as it works I'm good. I doubt many people will be looking at my bridge up close. I wouldn't say there is anything wrong with this new design. I just have no experience with it. I like the old model and have had good experience with it. And I've had excellent service in every way with Faber. I'm glad you are ordering one. I'm guessing that Faber did their very best developing the new design and that it will be a great product. Just like their other parts have always been. Please post a review after you get yours. D

D Ill be posting post a review it just might be a while. The guitar is still in the raw. Needs to be stained and finished before I can play it. Can't wait though.
cmatthes Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 I can't imagine a better wraptail than this Faber I've got it on two guitars now, and it's fantastic.

Maybe Simichrome or another product would take the yellow off? Confirmed! Mine arrived yesterday, and I picked up the Simichrome today - I haven't had any since high school band days. It's taking it off, but my lazy ass is going to try to find a polishing attachment for my Dremel or something to do the whole odd-shaped thing. Half price AND 20% off this week, and a little time with some polish is not a bad deal for these things!

I have never tried it, but it would be worth a try if you have some around. ETA: just struck me as curious, so I gave it a look. The active ingredient in Easy Off is Sodium Hydroxide (NaCl). (1.) yes, that should pull the gold off as BCRGreg said, but, (2.) Crap, it's Sodium Hydroxide - be very very (VERY) careful - for cryin' out loud. You'll want to wear eye protection and on completion flush your part with LOTS of water. Extremely high pH (i.e., basic) and extremely reactive. Never knew what was in the stuff... to clean an oven?

I saw your post and said to myself, "did I really type that?" Nah, couldn't have! Oh, but I did! Yes, you do recall correctly and once again I'm busted for attempting to work and post and doing neither well! ETA: oh, and @Cynic, lots of cool stuff on the Mojoaxe web site! I don't think I've visited that before.
