Stokesdead Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 http://greenville.craigslist.org/msg/5204294522.htmlI picked this up a few years back. It's a hard piece of gear to let go of but I plan to put the money towards some other important purchases. The power switch, cap can and speaker have been replaced. Original speaker is included with sale. Also the tubes are a big part of the sound and these sound great. It's loaded with NOS RCA power and rectifier tubes and ANOS Sylvania preamp tubes. The only way to make this amp sound any better is if you had some NOS Telefunkins for the pre's. If you have any questions just let me know.
crunchee Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Nice! 'OF' date code on the tube chart dates it as June 1965:http://www2.fender.com/support/articles/amplifier-product-dating/
Boomerang~Junkie Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Damn that's in incredible shape for being over 50 year old!GLWTS

killerteddybear Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 In the month this amp was made, the Stones released "Satisfaction"; Gemini 4 flew (with the first spacewalk on the 3rd); Elizabeth Hurley was born; and many cool things...http://www.onthisday.com/events/date/1965/junehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_1965Personally, I was fascinated with the Gemini space program.
SSII x 2 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Great, great amp! GLWtS, but don't sell it!
Kurt L Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I owned that one for close to 20 years... It's a really nice amp! Good luck with your sale!
Pieman Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Did these come with three prong plugs in 1964? I have had two SF VCs, one in which I shoe-horned a 10 inch Weber. Everybody should have a Champ or a VC in their lifetime,
Kurt L Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 The original plug was cracked and crumbling so I had it replaced. But it was 2 prong, no ground.
Stokesdead Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 Kurt can correct me if I am wrong but I believe this one has the original chord just a replaced plug. And yes it is still 2 prong.
hamerican gigolo Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Great price for a killer amp. Good luck with the sale.
