"Mistake Burst" over Ultimate Flame, ebony board, pearloid tuner buttons, checkerboard case and tone all OVER the place! He brought it in, looking all dejected. The man needs a car more than another guitar. Help turn his frown upside down. $1700, no whining.

DavidE Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 I gotta say that I've never been a single cut guy, but since getting my BCR Burst chambered Monaco Elite with WCR Crossroads pickups, it's been my main guitar for gigs. I played my Korina Jr. last night first set, but it was hotter and grittier (both good things), but I went back to the Monaco for the rest of the night. And weirdest thing of all, I tend not to play high on the neck, but even with the "shelf" I tend to go way up on the tiny strings on the Monaco more often. Go figure.This one looks absolutely killer!

The actual color is titled Antique Darkburst as stated on the certificate. I believe there are only two this color. The other was Mobster's before he sold it. His was the basis for this one. The other one was chambered, this one is NOT. I don't say that mean, I say it with a laugh. Play it all night, and you'll wish it came with a gym membership. Or you own your own hot tub. It's in the 9 lb. club I'm pretty sure. The pickups are stock, Duncan Custom, and Duncan Custom/Custom. It has had a Voodoo in it, which really screams when put in this solidbody, but the Duncans are in it now. Completed April 15th, 2003. I would say there are no major dings/dents. I'm sure if need be, I could get more specific pictures, as I'm not the best person to rate things. I would say 8.5/10-9/10. It does have a thicker neck. Can't speak to the radius, but it is thicker. Hoped that helped a little.

I am not a fan of the Monaco Elite at all...but this guitar is the exception to the rule. the color is amazing and the guitar plays like butta. Oh yeah...it has tone for days. LOL!!
