They are well built and the keybed has velocity and aftertouch so even if it turns out you don't like the sounds it will make a good controller.

There is no resonant filter so you probably won't be using it for EDM but still a nice find!

It was a decent low-mid priced synth for its day. I wrote an editor for that family of devices for MOTU's Unisyn back in the 90's. I worked on the project with Marcus Ryle, who went on to co-found Line 6.

The Quadrasynth was a pretty good board.  Good sounds for its day and pretty tweakable if you were so inclined.  It was a stepping stone to the QS6, 7, and 8.  I still have a QS8 as my main keyboard.
