Here are my early to mid 80's Charvels and Jackson Soloist. All San Dimas era. I may have 12,000 invested in all four combined.

It looks great, but you gotta be careful with Charvels. There are a lot of parts and neck plate swaps.  The guys over at USA Charvels are excellent at sniffing out mutts. They have the serial number and work order logs. For example, it would be real easy to get a legitimate 5 digit 1981 neck plate off of a 8000 dollar prepro strat, slap it on a DiMarzio Star body , put a 1000 dollar graphics job on it and claim it is all original.

I believe these are the real deal because at that price, the Charvel heads would have flagged this listing they live for calling out fakes or mutts.

But a Dimarzio Star IS a Charvel body... but I get what you're saying

Yes, it was made by Charvel Manufacturing. Correct. It's how Grover got started. Making bodies and necks for Boogie Bodies and DiMarzio.

It's how "Wayne" got started... Grover bought Charvel...

Actually, you're right, but Grover had the DiMarzio contract exclusively. After he bought Wayne out for peanuts.

$50k price drop, getting my credit card out now! 😉

Wayne in Waterloo needs to have his head checked. Yes, those early 5/6 Digits are rare and who cares $90k more than what these things "might" be worth.

Owned a few over the years, the "normal" Charvel/early Jackson neck profile and I don't get along. Pointys and Stratheads, Jackson woodburn Stratheads, early really first gen Jacksons, etc. I foolishly sold my Pointy Jackson Tele that had a slightly bigger profile, arrghh.

Here's my probably 82-83 EVH neck profile (slightly thicker C) 1 5/8th nut, crazy thick rosewood board, original 80-81 Charvel body, original 80's Floyd shot by Marty Bell a long time ago...
