Correct?Ā Isn't the mini-toggle vs 5-way switch also associated with 24.5" vs 25.5"? Ā So this one is a 24.5" scale, right? The mini toggle version was short scale

Amplodyte
I just measuredĀ mine (717857) which isĀ a set-neck and has similar controls/switching. It has 25.5" scale.
Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame
Then maybe I got it backwards. Maybe it's the bolt-on that's 25.5". Ā Although, being Hamer, there's probably plenty of examples of 24.5" and 25.5" in all sorts of configurations.Ā I just thought there were some broad assumptions you can make about the 24.5" vs the 25.5", if the purchaser didn't order any changes. cmatthes
The shorter scale Chaps were 24.75", not 24.5".

The tuner hasn't "bent", it has ROTATED.Ā Ā If the hole has stripped, then use someĀ toothpick. It could be either the hole widened in an arc,Ā (I doubt it though), or the screw stripped out the wood and someone decided to turn the tuner until he got to a spot to start a new screw hole.Ā Yes to tooth picks and/or sawdust and carpentersĀ glue mixture in the hole, then re-drill. Those screws are Pozi-Driv, not regular Philips.
