If ever there could be a Bubs_42 Signature amp, this is it. I bought an early Z28 a few years back and was floored by it, and now I have three of them. Doc offered me up a Prototype of the new MKII to try out with the new Master Volume. 

I have two originals and one of the MKII Prototypes. AMAZING, AMAZING Amps, my favorite of all time. This is the amp for the guys that love the sound of a vintage amp, but also want to use their pedals. You can play the amp with nothing in front of it for vintage tone at any level, or turn your whole pedalboard on in front of it and it will sound amazing. For the vintage amp guys that dismiss master volume amps, this one will make you a believer. Dr. Z floored me with this amp.

1x12 in Red, heads are in Black. Prices are in the video. Handwired and Handcrafted in the USA. 

Side Note: Lance cannot push the amp hard enough to to make it completely fall apart, and that is why this amp is so amazing.

Do the treble and bass controls add gain past 12 o'clock like on the original ?

The treble and bass react like the original, but the gain comes out later than noon. I’ve always ran mine with the Bass around 10 O’clock, and the Treble around 1:30. I felt that you got the most highs you were going to get at that point and a touch of gain. 

I’m kind of the outsider from your normal Z Member. I don’t like Celestion Golds, and I don’t like the 333 Position on the Z28.

I never get to do that.  

I’m doing my best not to order the combo, but frankly my friends it would be pretty much the perfect amp. Doc had original thought about just doing this as a run for the Z Forum and kicked around about a 2x10 Combo. I still think the 2x10 would be amazing and the new cabinet size works.

Not me, too much muscle for an old guy. But I am eyeing some of the no longer wanted that you've been posting. What else are you shedding to make room?

I shouldn't have read this post.  It turned my stash of "new guitar" money into "new amp" money, and now I have z28 mk ii combo on the way.
