Jakeboy Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 These sound very sweet and vintagey….not harsh… a classic example of Sean Michael’s uncanny ability to make a pedal that sounds exactly how I need it to. Dude’s ear evidently matches mine though mine are more Dumbo-like in appearance.

Well, I think figured it out. The Super Six is similar circuit to OD11 and others. The Super 6 is an earlier BC170. MOSFET circuit.
bubs_42 Posted January 8, 2023 Author Posted January 8, 2023 Most of LP stuff is tweaked versions of other pedals. The OD11 and the Grey Ghost side by side, the Ghost is more neutral than the OD11. Unlike a lot of the other pedals that are “Transparent” the Ghost will reveal that they are indeed shifting midrange in one way or another. I think of the Ghost as a Preamp with overdrive and tone shaping abilities. If you have a main overdrive and you want more of it and want to taylor your lead boost this is great. I’d you have an amp that you want louder, or more dirt, or more lows, or cut, without loosing that base tone this will do it. I have refined what I’m using from the strings to the speaker. These are great pedals, but I’m not using them and the board is almost finished.

Jakeboy Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 I have both and Bubs is absolutely correct. The Stevie mod adds some Mids but not a crazy amount. It is just right actually. The GG is flatter across the EQ but it sounds incredible in the ways Bubs describes.
