If I were to guess, that used to be a Gary Moore Special that someone tried to refinish.

The headstock logo is what has been called a 'Stadium' logo, I'm guessing because you can read it from anywhere in a stadium setting?  If I'm reading the S/N correctly, it looks like a '88 make, which IIRC would fit the time frame for the 'Stadium' logo.

I see that the Floyd has 'Made In Germany' markings...if the Floyd is possibly original, shouldn't it be marked as 'W. Germany' or 'West Germany' for a 1988 time frame?  I'm absolutely NO expert especially on Floyds, but does anybody here know for sure?  That info might make for extra bargaining 'leverage' if someone wanted to buy it.  B)

I don't think that's a refin.  It looks like the very rare Smudgy~Sludgy~Distrested~Antiqued Copper that was introduced in the first week of March of 1988 and discontinued on Friday of the same week.

Instead of Pizza Day it was Blindfold Day?

The switch and knob locations are different from the '84 GM Special I used to have. It's a valuable one-off CO. B)

And a dot after the U, but not the S and A seem weird.  Hmmmm.

That's because it was built at the University of South America.  You see there was a college course on building a Hamer guitar and......
