JohnnyThunders Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Yeah what he said, how does it sound at basement level, clips I've heard sound cool but at what volume. I'm interested I've never had a "real" metal amp.
kurtsstuff Posted April 1, 2006 Author Posted April 1, 2006 Born in March 2002,Metal Grille..Amp sounds great at keep the wife happy volume..I'll get some pics up tonight after work...too early right now
black magic Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 What do these things sound like? I have heard they are very high gain with mucho girth, but never heard one. Any clips? Jack.

Very High gain and even more so than the XTC...they have clips on the Bogner site..these amp have enough "chunk" to destroy speakers if your not careful and the secret is ...the presence control is not like your standard one in that...it's more a "mid" control as those are the frequencies it's centered at...ya want more sparkle and chooga,chooga??...treble up...presence down....wierd but..it works
black magic Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Are these amps very tight or loose or? does it have a variable control like the Peaveys do for tight-medium-loose bottom end? Jack.
edgar_allan_poe Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Are these amps very tight or loose or? does it have a variable control like the Peaveys do for tight-medium-loose bottom end? Jack. I would say that they are a loose type of tight. I found them to have more of a tight-medium/medium-tight/loose with a tounch of chugga and a dash of wang. Furthermore, if you vary pick attack by about 15% you can really get the thumpa-thumpa-chugga-chugga-ching-whoo sounds. Turn the presence a bit and it goes over to a chugga-chugga-thumpa-thumpa-whoo-ching sound that is killer for covering "I ate my momma on a sandwhich" by Lepper Zombie Corpse or "Shoot your cheating bitch" by Period Rag. Either way...you can't lose with this amp Jack.

edgar_allan_poe Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 I love this description!!!! I just thought I should mention that I played through the amp with a guitar loaded with Rio Grande pups that were exactly .356723865 inches away from the strings and it slayed. I was afraid to use my Schlabotnik loaded guitar.
