cmatthes Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Looks like faded Sky Blue Pearl, and a very special headstock. Technically not a Steve Stevens Model. https://www.ebay.com/itm/304979584250?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=SA_aYIvkSsy&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=eOB2b9kpQFG&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

topekatj Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 I must say, it’s a tidy machine but not my cup of kava. I still cannot get over the original means of anchoring the Floyd Rose locking nut — whoever thought drilling holes through the neck at that location was a good idea was in the business of repairing broken headstocks…..
jer_vic Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Maybe a better deal to be had here ($1350)? https://medford.craigslist.org/msg/d/ashland-price-drop-1986-steve-stevens/7619164161.html
HamStd Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 @cmatthes, remember the CAR SS with the explorer headstock in the repair rack at HFC III?

I’ve got a pic around somewhere. There was also a Prototype with a similar headstock there one year if I recall correctly.

That would be Floyd himself. Maybe he assumed guitarists would be smart enough to not bang their guitars around enough to cause headstock breaks?
