coffeeroastee Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Have 1500-2k for a fatter vintage carve Hamer Studio- do they exist? Had a 93 that was almost awesome but the neck was too small for me
Biz Prof Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Based on my experience, you'll be looking for one made '96-or-after. They are certainly out there; just need to be patient for one to pop up for sale.

jer_vic Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 This is a local deal only, but it sounds like it might fit the bill. Know anyone in Michigan? https://grandrapids.craigslist.org/msg/d/hastings-hamer-usa-p90-special-electric/7644209200.html "... has a very manly fat 50's Les Paul neck ..." EDIT: Sorry, missed the word Studio in the OP. This is a Special.
WorstBandName Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 I have an Artist Korina p90 with a vintage carve neck from 2002. It's in nice shape overall with a few mods - new frets, Mojotone Quiet p90s, new nut. Figured I would throw it out there.

Hfan Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 My 2006 Studio has a neck carve that is much like that of my 93 Gibson LP Studio which is considered a “50’s” carve. The Hamer may have a little more shoulder to it. Not too big not too small. Perfect for me.

It has a few marks here and there. I can get pictures of those for you and additional photos if interested. I bought wayyyy to many Hamers over the last 2 years or so and need to put a few back out there. One of those was a humbucker version of this same guitar. I plan to put a p90 style humbucker in the neck of that one. The Mojotones p90s on this are really nice-sounding pickups. I would use them again. I can get some calipers out and give neck measurements if needed. Emails is WorstXBandXNameXEver[at]gmail.com. Just take out the Xs and make it and @. I don't know how messaging works on here it seems! I'm also WorstBandNameEver on TGP and you can see my sales history over there.
tbonesullivan Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 As others have said, you want one from 1995-1996 or so. I had the SAME problem, and sold my 1993 Special. Replaced it with a Studio Goldtop with a nice chunky neck. Been so much happier since then.
burningyen Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 OP, have you asked this seller for neck measurements yet? https://reverb.com/item/69038264-1996-hamer-studio-goldtop

It doesn't look to have been a great job either.
BadgerDave Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Willie's is not known for competitive pricing. Also note that the OHSC is MIA.
eshipplosk2003 Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Here's a 1992 Hamer Special on Ebay that I am selling. I am also just throwing it out there. I know it's not a Studio, but just in case if you're interested. https://www.ebay.com/itm/305049057080
