cmatthes Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 It’s an import case. That’s about right for one of those.
stonge Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 one advantage of the import cases is that they have the body cutout which prevents the standards from sliding around in the case. some of the older cases don't have that type of cutout.

Right On, Does the import case fit a US standard?

Some folks (me being one) prefer the import case because it is more form-fitting than the USA case, which has a cavernous main body section. Here's the import case body section:
cmatthes Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 My USA Standard cases are all form-fitting. I forget when they made the change, but I personally prefer the USA versions.

I think, like most things Hamer, they used what they had until they had something else.
P Franco Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 I’ve got a USA Artist Custom that came in a Hamer TKL Case, but the markings screened on the case only say Hamer (no USA). It’s just as nice as any USA case. 🤷♂️

The Standard 12ver came from Hamer with the USA form fitting case also and that was in 2010. I just checked them and they're TKL and they both have Hamer USA inked on the outside.
rickrock999 Posted March 20, 2024 Author Posted March 20, 2024 My 83 Phantom XII Case just says Hamer. My 94 Studio Gattso has the USA on it.

Ua D Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 Half my Hamer usa have had Hamer sil screened but not USA on it. All have been made in Canada tkl. Seems like a great price for a tkl case.
