Tom knows his Skynyrd inside and out. He gets a pass from me on holding the clip on mic. Lynyrd Skynyrd did not use the Peavey amps on the early albums. Ed King said he used Marshall while he was in the band.

I had no idea of Ritchie's medical struggles. Makes sense now when I saw him on one of these videos and thought he'd gained a fair amount of weight. His guitar was up and down in volume and yes, his playing wasn't the ripping Blackmore, but it was good to see him with the other guys again. If he has arthritis etc, makes sense as to why it wasn't Highway Star.

He looked really old and frail. And honestly, he did not play that well. But he's 80 years old, has arthritis, ocular migraines etc., and he has suffered a heart attack. It was clear this was unrehearsed. It's a bit sad that people recorded this with their phones. They should just have stayed in the moment and let this be a tale of legends. Still, it was heart warming to see Ritchie, Roger, Ian P and Ian G on stage together again. Just as old friends. It felt more like a private moment than a show for the audience. My first concert was Rainbow, Straight Between the Eyes tour 1982. It was Richie, Glover, Joe Lynn Turner, Don Airey and Bobby Rondinelli in the band then. Great show. One for the books. I also saw Deep Purple in 1985. Blackfoot was the support band. We all grow old. But wearing your white socks up over your sweat pants, that is a tough one. 😅 Only Ritchie has enough "no more fucks to give" to pull that off.

I saw Purple in 1984 at Merriweather with Blackfoot. Great show. Wonder if he showed up like this:

I instantly discount anyone holding a clip on mic, especially after having just had it clipped on. Clearly shows you don't know how to work the gear you have.

About the only nice top I've owned was this '96 FM I later shipped out to @capridriver in Germany. An excellent guitar, blingy top or not.

I knew someone who gigged a couple Mace half stacks for years. It sounded good for his type of metal.

car detailer (meguiars) or armour all wipes might work... black sharpie blended with your finger to touch up the nicks. goo gone on the sticker residue. naptha if you require high test... Fabreze and let it sit on your deck. but if it stinks I simply return it from where it came from.

If you have real Tolex try some whitewall cleaner. It works great on old amplifiers.
