  2. Oh, Johnny. I'll be your queen just for one day and we could be Heroes just for one day. And three dudes on one mic is so gay.
  3. Back of cab quarter stack. Second back is closed.
  4. The 82 proto I owned was slightly bigger than the 81’s, still nowhere near like Hamers mid 90’s carve. still one of my favorite Hamers of all time, but I lost my shirt on every single one I sold. Plus, prices will continue to drop.
  5. Most have 24 frets, chambered body’s. My local shop used to be a Gibson dealer when these were new. They did some limited run 22 frets guitars.
  6. it's the only one made, prototype... Lots o $$$ but there isn't another. I'm sure someone will shed the $ for it
  7. The neck on my 1982 Sunburst is not thin at all. Think about that as you regret not buying the 1982 Prototype. 😏
  8. Of course, I completely forgot about this one! I even remember posting about it.
  9. I got a pair of those, so I'm good to go if I want to put the 'trons on the new Newport Pro. But my orange Newport with the Bigsby doesn't fit the regular Gibson-style rings. I measured the chrome rings that came on it as 92 mm x 46 mm, and the length between screw holes as ~84.3 mm x 37.5mm.
  10. Some DANG nice maple, seems like someone liked the Hamer Special FM. https://www.craigslist.org/view/d/oakland-2002-gibson-les-paul-standard/w3oaQTZPJqoMDd9RLcR6Pa am I going blind or does this thing have 24 frets? @The Shark
  11. These are only $8.00 each and come in short or tall, black or cream: https://tvjones.com/em1-gibson-style-pickup-ring-with-mounting-screws/ ETA: sorry, I failed to congratulate you on a spectacular purchase. Fantastic!
  12. For that kind of scratch I'd buy first class tickets for me and the guitar and hand deliver it to the buyer.
  13. Got the right one delivered late this morning. It does have a bit of binding separation at the upper waist and lower cutaway, but that was in the description. Bridge pickup cover has a fair bit of pitting. I was planning to swap in some TV Classics on this one anyway, but I plugged it in to test as-is with the Lollars, and it sounds ace. I recorded an A/B of this and my Artist Custom (with the stock Seth Lovers), and I was surprised that the Lollars are quite a bit lower output. I recorded the Newport first, then without changing any settings on the rig, I plugged in the Artist and was immediately clipping the recording interface on the clean channel, had to cut about 12dB to get roughly the same perceived loudness clean. Anyway, the hollowbody and slightly lower output definitely make this sound smoother and more open than the Artist. The Seths have a bit more quack. Two different flavors of good. I'm still thinking one Newport with Firebird pickups, one with Filtertrons, an Artist with Seth Lovers, and Artist Korina(s) with 3 P90s gives me a pretty killer stable. I actually wanted to move the Firebird pickups from my other Newport (vintage orange transparent with Bigsby) to this one and put the 'trons in that one, to complete the nod to Gretsch, but I'll gonna have to get or make custom pickup rings to do so, since that Newport came from the factory with the bigger chrome rings that TV Jones's Gibson-style mounts won't fit.
  14. $142,487.63 + Shipping Really? They want a shipping charge on top of that price?

  17. Topekatj... Many thanks!
  18. I like the music city burst better, it has the original Tophat knobs and what appears to be an ebony overlay on the peghead. The face of the headstock just looks to be painted black on the reverb example.
  19. OOOHHHHhhhhh.... I finally got it!
  20. Regarding fraudsters on this (or any other) page, try to do some sleuthing and verify that they are who they say they are before sending any money for something. Not sure if asking HFC trivia would help in all cases, but regardless, be very careful of any suspicious dialog or insist that they send a picture of them with the guitar or a pic with something current with the actual guitar. That's not an unreasonable request. Fraudsters are getting more and more sophisticated, and A.I. has only made their scamming easier.
