Received this 2024 Charvel Custom Shop DK 24 in 2025 but decided didn't really need 2 from the same run. Or did I? I put it up for sale and after no movement in 9 months, I took it down and took it out. Dayummmm! What was I thinking? Sweetest neck evah. But if I was gonna keep her she was gonna need mods. Her stripped down, built for speed configuration left me with no room for my array of overused and outdated fretboard shenanigans. So... A Gravelin Mongoose/Sustainiac Stealth/toggle switch and kill switch pot later, she's suitably armed to inflict maximum auditory damage on innocent bystanders via my back alley brawler style of playing. 😜

@lang Did you take a look at my Artist Korina P90 + Filtertron? -
Herzlichen Dank. Ich kann es selbst noch kaum glauben.
-
Thank you. It's unmodified and comletely in original condition.

Almost. Actually there are a few small dings and scratches on the back. Out of the time capsule are both warranty cards, a still sealed (!) envelope with the key for the case and a historic set of Fender DYNAMaX strings. And both guitars have received my usual treatment before being photographed.

NOT Guns and Roses...... -
Yes!

Yeah TB-III may be a little too water resistant for guitars... but I've used I & II for decades

You win!

I once used tightbond ll and floor sanding dust to fill very large gaps in a wood floor. Gallon jug glue glue glue mix in the floor sanding dust as it was the same color. Took some straps and stomped them into it a after the hole was filled . It got hard as a rock. Hit with the floor sander and you'll never know there was a 2" gap there. I think the big thing with 2 And 3 is the water resistance. But I still use 2 for wood to wood repairs.

Never knew there was a II or a III. I don't get out much.

Yeah those leg surgeries are often worse than the actual chest procedure and that is brutal! I have friends who say the leg took longer to heal than the chest. I had 1 vein removed: it’s still giving me hipster 6 months: the scar just won’t settle. That aside, I feel great! Glad your dad is still with us 👍🙏🙌 I’m back at FedEx humping/delivering 60/70 large parcels on my truck per day! It’s a good work out 😉

@django49 You oughta post a pic anyway, even if it's not-for-sale. That custom super pro is drool worthy. -
Good luck with the search. I guess I have owned at least one of each of those, except the Newport 90. All of them were great. The only one of the lot left here is a Super Pro custom order, which I never expect to sell. These things just do not pop up as often as they once did. And prices have sure changed!

Dad had two bypass surgeries. The first they cut his leg to harvest the arteries from the knee to the ankle. It gave him more trouble than the actual surgical site, once he got used to his breast plate moving a little! The second surgery they only cut a slit at the top of his lower leg and at his ankle and pulled the vein out like a magic trick! It was so less invasive. He was actually on a medical talk-radio show in Orlando and explained the advancements between the two surgeries (16 years apart). Dad bought a treadmill. That was easiest. No travelling or weather to worry about. He used to walk while he watched the evening news. Good luck dropping the weight. You'll be amazed how much better you'll feel. I've lost 60 pounds over the past ten years. Walking and light weights only. Heart is good and so is my health. Now, I'm worried about getting hit by a truck!

Good Lord, you're like the guitar ad Indiana Jones finding and getting both at once is insane. Was the bound one modified for the extra knob or ordered that way? Both look fabulous. Congratulations!

And: There is still another one from 1981 for below 2k Euros. Looks like it needed some TLC, though... https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/hamer-vector-flying-v-gitarre-1981/3493964339-74-9179
