  1. Sorry Kiz, I gotta call bullshit on that. You just don't fuck with another man's guitars, regardless of your feelings about the make/model. I ain't a fan of Epi's, vintage or otherwise, but I know well enough not to pull some mega-prick stunt like that. I don't care who the fuck you are (or are calling yourself this month) that is just plain fucked up. Maybe we don't have the whole story but based on what is known, I'd say that Prince Putrid owes that guy another '61 Epi WITH an autograph and a sincere apology. Me too. Love ya, Kiz, but unless you were kidding, that makes no sense at all. I'm all for Prince buying a '61 Epi to that guy, plus writing a sincere apology letter -f*ck the autograph though.
  2. That's exactly what is beyond my understanding. He can problably have any guitar he wants! He's f@cking Prince after all! To me, for some reason he just wanted to hurt that guy really bad.
  3. On the cover of his solo album he had a Vector:
  4. Wolf Hoffman, Glen Tipton and the likes do play Hamer... but they always did. The problem with the brand was that they made no effort to attract the new generations of players by capitalizing on the endorsers they already had.
  5. You're talking about the Starfleet project. It also fell short to my expectations when I listened to it for the first time. You know, EVH and BHM together, that had to be sooo great! But no, it wasn't. I recently undusted my own copy and listened to it once again, because Gorch is a big fan of it and we share several tastes. Well, I didn't hate it this time, but I'm still a bit disappointed about it. So, I would not recommend it to casual May or EVH fans -but just to completists.
  6. No sh*t! Ok, revenge is sweet:Anything KISS. Too many Ace fans around, so I did give KISS a good try. I failed. To me it was soooo boooooring... HAHAHAHAaaaa!!! NOT a big Kiss fan either, at least not of the guitar playing......but they were fun to hear at the roller-rink. The avatar is just some old HFC laughs, Well man, that Alcatrazz album with Yngwie is one of my preferred guitar-oriented albums ever. Talk about different tastes! Back to the main topic now: I don't like Black Label Society... or almost anything that Zakk Wylde does, for that matter. Chop-wise, no doubt the man is amazing. However, I find his stuff pretty lacking of good ideas. Great image, great technique, ballsy playing and all... but his solos and songs usually fall short to my expectations. Sad but true.

  8. I frankly don't give a dime to meet anyone in person, really. For example, I met Jeff Waters (one of my biggest influences/inspirations) and everything went very natural, in spite of the fact I spent my late teens listening to Annihilator almost every day. Brian May however is another story. He's the very reason why I play guitar. I spent hours trying to copy some of his licks when I began. I also listened to Queen quite often. In addition, as a musician May is also in another league than all those metal guitar heros I usually like. I wouldn't know what to say if I ever met the guy in person. Something stupid, maybe, such as "thank you for the music, sir" or "can I take a picture with you?" or "can I shake your hand?" ...or "Holy f*ck! It's Brian F*ckin' May!!!"
  9. That's the idea. There ain't no fanboy around here after all. LOL
  10. Love many guitar players, but I think I would be starstruck just by one player in the world: Brian May! Well, a second candidate who might also get me in that "fascinated-by" status is Kai Hansen, if I ever meet him in person. It's worth mentioning I'm a very cocky and proud person, but I used to spend hours with my brother listening to the two guys above when we were teens. Nostalgia takes over pride. Those were definitively good times! Your turn now!
  11. You're not ugly! You look like me!
  12. BTW, here's a video of her I particularly like: She shreds with soul. She's got a well-developed finger vibrato and a lot of expression, feel and attitude. I really admire the way she plays.
  13. She got balls, huh? PS: She has been already praised around here. I personally do like the way she plays. And she's quite cute too, but that's another story.
  14. I wish you a prompt comeback from Hamer. HBD!
  15. Say whatever you want, but I kinda like that "Fender Select Carved Maple Top Jazzmaster® HH"
  16. Re-thinking: if I placed a custom order last year, but I make the final payment and receive it this year, can I still sign-up?
  17. I cannot sign. Already ordered something last year which I have to pay this year.
  18. I didn't get any email like that. But I liked Dr. Seuss' quote.
  19. Glenn Tipton and KK Downing endorsed Hamer, and Judas Priest is a high-profile gig with worldwide visibility. They also appeal to people from different age groups and backgrounds. In spite of that, Tipton and Downing didn't have a permanent impact on Hamer sales. Weird, isn't it?
  20. His name was related to the best band known to men ever (The Beatles), but he was a great musician, himself. Rest in Peace!
  21. That's exactly what's funny. They have had it all, but didn't prevail. It's a marketing issue for sure, but the cause of that issue is management and the vision they have had. Jol was a capricious guy.
  22. Grunge peaked -'nuff said.
