  1. Looks like a 93 Special FMT to me. Nice.
  2. "Back of headstock has some damage but neck area is solid." Ummm.... Also no mention of a case. Still a decent deal, but needs a serious cleaning and probably some work in the 'damage' area.
  3. These were made in Leakesville, where they did the Wolfgangs. Scored the HB version last year from DGS. These are a steal for the quality level.
  4. You deserve awards for both procrastination and perseverance! Looks great.
  5. This is painful to even think about moving. Peavey Mace 412 combo. Only $395. Spinal surgery and futile attempts at rehab not included. https://www.davesguitar.com/collections/all-products-latest/products/mace-4x12-combo-76
  6. Non-Floyded '78 $699: https://www.adorama.com/ev5107900576.html?sdtid=18194563&emailprice=t
  7. I think I would tolerate a Floyd again for this. Not sure I'd tolerate the Master Built one-off price tag.
  8. Congratulations to Hamer Guitars on their fiftieth anniversary – here’s to another fifty! Ummm.....
  9. Apparently these are made south of the border, and are typically like $15-1700 new? Choice of red, black, or white (unusual for Adorama). https://www.adorama.com/evh108005539.html?emailPrice=t
  10. Happy 10 year anniversary.
  11. Avalon at Sam Ash in San Diego. Ran across it because of the Artist PSA today. $1614. https://www.samash.com/el-guitar-w-c-ur6604017
  12. I was actually gonna make a thread over this, glad this thread is here instead. When we think of vintage Les Paul tones and those famous for them, who among us wouldn't put Lana Del Rey right at the top of their list? πŸ™ƒ https://www.julienslive.com/lot-details/index/catalog/518/lot/224259/lana-del-rey-signed-gibson-custom-shop-1959-les-paul-re-issue-guitar-5 A 2019 Gibson Custom Shop '59 Les Paul Reissue electric guitar, serial number CME90218 in Dirty Lemon finish with gently-flamed maple top with accurate vintage appearance, in original hard case. Signed by Lana Del Rey on the guitar's top around the bridge and tailpiece area.
  13. πŸ€˜πŸ€‘ (No, it's not real.)
  14. From the Yngwie J Malmsteen Academy of Instrument Storage: Yes, you can actually buy this lot of well cared for violins for the low low discount price of only $10,000. Because some of them might be worth something. Or something. https://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/msg/d/delray-beach-inherited-collection-of/7569868406.html I recently inherited a collection of 100 or so antique violins. Some of these could possibly be worth thousands each. I simply do not have the time to sell these individually. I will NOT sell these individually and I am ONLY selling the ENTIRE collection as a whole.
  15. All it needs is a Kahler piezo bridge! πŸŽƒ
  16. Fred Hensley Sr. of Blue Ash, Ohio was reportedly attempting to shoot his son's guitar, but instead shot his son, Fred Hensley Jr., in the ribcage A 79-year-old resident of Blue Ash, Ohio stands accused of shooting his son because he had been playing guitar for too long, according to court documents obtained by Local 12-WKRC in Ohio. Fred Hensley Sr., 79, is said to have shot his son, Fred Hensley Jr., 50, with a .380 pistol Sunday, October 24, because he'd been playing guitar for over an hour, despite the senior Hensley's requests for him to stop. According to a report from Fox 19, Hensley Sr. told Blue Ash police he was only trying to shoot near his son, while Local 12-WKRC's report states that Hensley Sr. told police that he was trying to shoot the guitar. After he was shot – reportedly in the ribcage area – Hensley Jr. allegedly attacked his father, causing injuries to Hensley Sr.'s face and mouth. When questioned by police, Hensley Jr. said he did not remember hitting his father. Hamilton County, Ohio court documents state that Hensley Sr. has been charged with felonious assault, and is currently being held on a $50,000 bond. Hensley Jr. was taken to the hospital following the incident, and is reportedly not facing any criminal charges for the incident. No updates on his or his father's condition have been provided as of press time. πŸ”« Kind of impressive. Get shot, and still be able to get up and beat the crap out 79-year-old dad. https://www.guitarworld.com/news/father-shoots-son-guitar
  17. If everyone 'cut through the mix', wouldn't that be problematic?
  18. And if that doesn't do it for you, how about a $560,000 Shishkov (Yuriy, that other one). Coronation Stratocaster by Yuriy Shishkov The Coronation Stratocaster is inspired by the Coronation Egg made in 1897 to commemorate the inauguration of Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra on the Russian Imperial throne. The guitar looks as royal as the name would suggest, donning a gold leafed surface with an on-wood Guilloche and gilded silver artwork. Also featuring custom fabricated diamond eagle medallions, along with hundreds of diamonds throughout the instrument, the price of this stunning instrument quickly makes sense.
  19. NAMM always brings, uh, innovation? πŸ€ͺ
  20. I saw a used guitar on GC's website in a store near me, so I went by there this week. I have another guitar with a rosewood neck, so this sort of interested me. It still had the plastic on the pickguard, 2017 serial number. Fortunately some noisy typical customer had just ceased his racket, so I was able to hear its, uhh, acoustic voice once they got it down for me. Sales kid: you want to plug it in? Me: no, I know what it sounds like plugged in. Wanted to find out if it was playable, mostly. Hit an open cord and some single notes around the first few frets. Everything ringing nicely. Has potential. Neck shape and feel as expected. Moved up the neck, getting some slightly plinky sounding notes from around the 8-12th fret area. Ok, maybe it needs a little adjustment. Put on my old bastard reading glasses and look it over. A bit of finish split by the neck pocket, body could stand to be polished, trem block appears to not be perpendicular. Neck looks reasonably straight. No fret wear. Not even ware. So why the plinky shit? Did a couple of bends around 12-15th fret and bam. Totally choked out. The last thing I need is another guitar, and certainly not one that needs whatever amount of work this would take to be made playable. So I didn't even have to try and beat them down on the price. Brought it up to the counter, showed them what it was doing. They didn't ask if I wanted to check it out after their tech fixed it or anything. I guess that's the way it is these days. No big deal, my interest in the matter had ceased. So my question is, why the hell do so many people not bother to leave feedback on Reverb? 🀬
  21. Michael Anthony on gear and cars: Article mostly about his cars: https://www.motortrend.com/news/celebrity-drive-chickenfoot-bassist-michael-anthony/?
  22. Possible. But if that's the case, they shouldn't have email addresses prominently displayed, or displayed at all. And that would exclude me anyway since I do not, and never will, have any social media accounts. I'm just gonna assume they're doing so well they don't need my business. Good for them.
