  1. New guy droppin' some knowledge! Betcha Serial didn't even know that! Step aside, counselor. You been REPLACED!
  2. And remember: No shorts onstage. Ever.
  3. Congrats! You are truly blessed!
  4. Beergoblin is a good man. Deal with confidence.
  5. Rumor has it that Tony Orlando is one of the most well hung personalities in entertainment history. We're talking Milton Berle proportions here, folks.
  6. I don't think I've even looked at a guitar magazine since I became addicted to guitar nerd message boards.
  7. "Big Girls Don't Cry," Fergie. Just visited a friend's MySpace page and this song started playing. Fine my me, though. I think it's a nice pop ballad with some great vocal melodies.
  8. Great question. The 3-holers are infinitely cooler than the F-hole version. Probably has something to do with ease of production (arched tops with F-holes also appear on the Artists). And then there's always the possibility that Jol simply never liked/stopped liking the 3-hole design, which is what did in the shredders and bolt-ons.
  9. It's sort of like a Traynor YCV-80 2x12, but not as good. And neither are as good as a turntable.
  10. It's no coincidence that Kizanski hasn't chimed in yet.
  11. I have it on my iPod too in "Pay To c**" by Bad Brains. I thought it was a Rastafarian word. It's all Turbo Gerbil's fault for posting that filth by Liz Phair.
  12. "Soul Shaker," Doyle Bramhall II "Rotten Soul," Warrior Soul "Instrumental Illness," Allman Brothers Band "Cold Hearted," Gary Moore "What Is And What Should Never Be," Jimmy Page & the Black Crowes "5 Minutes to Live," Nashville Pussy "Good Rockin' Tonight," Montrose "Sweet Child O' Mine," Guns N' Roses "Killer Without a Cause," Thin Lizzy "Blood Sugar Sex Magik," Red Hot Chili Peppers
  13. Never say never, but I hope to always be the sole owner of my Studio:
  14. Pro job, Odie. Nicely done.
  15. For all intents and purposes, this is what happened to Eagleeye1 (praise be his name).
  16. Something else about this Eagleeye1 character that I just realized: he referred to himself in the third person in the thread title. People who do that really rub The Muse the wrong way.
  17. They're playing for free tonight in downtown Chicago. I'm gonna meet EagleEye1 there.
  18. Hey Matthes, I thought you were on top of squelching any accounts established via proxy server. Looks like this one slipped past the goalie. This is an obvious troll to me. Although, if you're a member of The Gear Page, go to The Pub and ask someone to tell you about Hawk. Classic stuff. And here's a newsflash. ALL internet forums are cliquey. If they weren't, you wouldn't be able to find variations of this all over the web: Forums like the HFC are very much like those darkened corner bars that when you walk into them the first time, everyone immediately stops what they're doing and looks you over. So what do you do in that situation? Throw a fit that the place is cliquey? That's a one-way ticket to ending up in a crumpled pile out back behind the dumpster. Try to get the feel of the place instead and you might find yourself becoming a regular.
  19. Plus, one can always find refreshment in 30-40 ice cold Millah Lites.
  20. Settling in for the annual Hot Dog Eating Contest. Competitive Eating ... only in America! Long live the USA!
  21. I have one but the only times I ever use it are to bark out bullshit into Kizanski's voice mail. The best part about being away from a computer or my land phone line is the INABILITY to use those devices.
  22. If he likes low action, I'd think low, flat frets would be desirable. Regardless, I doubt he would even need a full fret job; maybe a dress/level, which shouldn't cost 2 bills. It ain't your problem IMO. Was this an eBay deal?
  23. On the Yes tip, I don't know if pretentious is the right word for it, but what was with the brief '70s trend of depicting naked man ass on album covers (Yes' "Going for the One," Rush's "Hemispheres," etc.)? I never got that. Trying to be artsy in a "David" sorta way? Back to the original topic, ELO's "Out of the Blue" was pretty pretentious in that they actually thought people would enjoy a double-album's worth of absolute horseshit.
  24. And can Rick Wakefield throw a knuckleball?
