Yeah, that's gotta suck, especially for a small builder who has small margins π

Description This listing is for one (1) proofing sample/prototype Hamer Bass fretboard made during the development of Boomerang inlays. This is from the Maudie Moore estate. Maudie lived in Kalamazoo and began working for Gibson doing inlay and engraving in the 1960's. By the 1970's, she went out on her own and still did special work for Gibson as well as many other brands, subcontracting work using her garage as a work space. Hamer contracted Maudie to make the Boomerang inlaid fretboards for guitars and basses. To start, they laid out the design and she made a series of proof fretboards that were returned with notes on adjustments that had to be made. When everything was dialed in, she made a template off the approved fretboard and filled their orders. This job started in the early 80's and the fretboard up for sale is one of the proofs. She did not have many, so I think she must have dialed it in within a couple proofs. This one only required few adjustments, and you can see in real life impressions where the revisions would be made. This is for a bass fretboard. It is ebony. I suspect the fretboard blank was pulled from her Gibson stash as it has Gibson indexing pin holes on the rear. This is incomplete, I would consider it more of a conversation/historical piece, and sold as is.

Yup me too... picked up a Direct drive Dual CS-721 for $12 at my local Goodwill... It was missing the arm counterweight but used an extra one I had laying around... cleaned it up, and works perfectly π I've picked up some incredible vintage stereo equipment from my local thrift stores... It's amazing what people get rid of π³ -
Wow, some very early Scorpions. Look how young they all look π³

Haven't watched the video yet, but that speaker frame reminds me of the old Altec Lansing 12's -
Guitar string sounds like a sitar

You still haven't mentioned anything about neck relief... Do yourself a favor and turn the truss rod 1/4 turn counter clockwise... wait a few minutes and see if that helps... repeat if necessary.
