  1. It'll probably be a couple of Boogie's including an original MKIIC+, a Tom Murphy 58 Les Paul, and the Hamer Goldtop. It won't be one of your RS's. And perhaps an Ibanez Rocket Roll II V. (not the Iceman). I'm not sure about that one yet. If I do, it'll be a perfect match to your Destroyer.
  2. In the next day or so, I'm about the list a bunch of guitars and amps on ebay. I haven't had this one long. I don't remember what model or what year this guitar is? Basically, I'm looking what to call it in my auction. It's serial number 333615. USA model. The bridge was changed for a mini hum, but I have the original P90 in the case.
  3. I understood that part... some folks hold the opinion that the earth is still flat - they'd be wrong as well. (no hard feelings because I'm poking a finger here, but seriously -- I really think the argument could be made that Cobain (and his ilk) actually saved rock n roll, and rock guitar.) No problem. Don't get me wrong, I liked Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden etc., I just preferred the 80's more. I can't understand why Cobain was put on such a high pedestal, like he was king or something. It seems like whenever somebody dies, they become this mysterious and mystical person. Their guitar work is God-like. What if Hendrix was alive, would he be like EVH? What about Duane Allman? Who knows? Here's a big question, what if EVH died in 1985? He would have gone down as the greatest guitarist ever. There would have been statues made and streets named after him. Obviously he didn't die and is pretty much a washed up hasbeen. He hasn't done anything in 20 years! I'm not trying to be morbid, I was just thinking. And BTW, I like EVH. He was a huge influence when I was growing up.
  4. And you'd be totally wrong. I was an 80's hard rock metal head guitar playing musician and it was exactly bands like Black and Blue that made me ashamed for wearing my hair long. Seattle saved rock (and in many ways rock guitar) -- Soundgarden, AIC, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana ---- songs, riffage, and compelling lyrics - Cobain was a bridge over an abyss created by hair metal. Thank God for him (and others). R. I did say it was my personal opinion.
  5. That was typical 80's stuff. Nothing wrong with that, those were the times. I actually loved the 80's and I personally think that Kurt Cobain RUINED Rock & Roll. At least the 80's had guitar solo's. Cobain couldn't play for shit. In fact, if Cobain didn't die, Nirvana wouldn't have been that big of deal. Yeah they were good, but they weren't great. And Cobain certainly wasn't GOD. Pearl Jam was a much, MUCH better band. Of course this is my personal opinion.
  6. That sounds great! As one of my childhood idols (Joe Strummer) used to say, "don't forget to live". Life's too short.
  7. Mesa MKIV into Marshall cab
  8. I wouldn't pay that much money to have Living Colour play in my backyard LIVE!
  9. back in '83 we were playing Detroit Rock City - Kiss White Wedding - Billy Idol Twilight Zone - Golden Earring We're an American Band - Grand Funk Magic Power - Triumph She's Tight - Cheap Trick London Calling - the Clash Can't Get Enough of your Love - Bad Co. Ain't Talkin' About Love - VH Everybody Want Some - Billy Squier Radar Love - Golden Earring Three Lock Box - Sammy Hagar Plus a bunch more that I can't remember. In addition, one of our pet peeve's was the amount of time "in between" songs other bands would waste. We would start one song right after the next. Sometimes we'd even combine the songs. This way we could play more songs in our alloted time.
  10. I'm really sorry to hear this. Best wishes to you.
  11. Happy Birthday
  12. Happy Birthday fellas!
  13. Thanks for the update Roy. I look forward to selling the final product
  14. I need a Mini too!!!!
  15. American Pie - Don Mclean (spelling?)
  16. Did the buyer have a "confirmed" or "unconfirmed" address? If he's confirmed, there should be no problem. If he's unconfirmed, and there's a problem, it's YOUR fault for shipping to an unconfirmed address.
  17. I have to add my 2 cents. Fair Warning is by far my favorite VH album. With 1984 and VH1 coming in at second and third. I read some previous posts where some of you said that VH1 "changed your life". That's cool, but for me it was Ozzy's Blizzard of Oz. After hearing that, I was "changed".
  18. I've had good luck with Fedex. Can't say the same with UPS.
  19. DING DING DING. We have a winner. I'm not trying to start trouble, and I probably should keep my mouth closed. But what about the other 1000 people on this forum. Though I've never met Bruce, I'm sure he's a tremendous guy. I have no doubts about that. If it's Ted's guitar, he can certainly give it to whomever he wants. I personally feel if Ted wants to give it away, he should auction it and take the money to keep up maintenance on the website. But that's up to Ted. If Ted wanted to have a vote, I think EVERYONE on this forum should get a vote, not just ten people. That's just my opinion. Please don't shoot me, I'm only voicing my opinion as a member of this forum.
