  1. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crap - I want this. I bet others will want it more than I do, though. I'm going to look under my couch cushions now... In any case, I bid $350 just to say I did. EDIT TO ADD: And I was outbid moments later. :-)
  2. Welcome! Pics ASAP, please. USA Hamers are amazing bargains are they not?
  3. Beautiful! I bet it's gone by tomorrow.
  4. Just hope that your buyer is cooperative, and do all of the above (save packaging, don't try to fix anything, take lots of photos, get quotes, etc). I've had two claims, and one was a NIGHTMARE because my buyer was, well, insane. I'd tell the story, but it's a long one and not applicable to your question. My other claim was for a Studio Custom that UPS flat-out lost. Even with a very clear claim like that it took nearly three months to get paid. Luckily I was dealing with a good guy on the other side of the claim. Good luck.
  5. I'd say it's hard to figure out from that photo on the book, but since there is no way to disprove it, I vote it's yours! I'd make up some cool story about how the publishers were looking for the pinnacle of rockawesomeness and begged you to allow your guitar on the cover...
  6. NICE! Congrats. I'm not jealous. I'm not jealous.
  7. In order to provide better help, we'll be needing lots and lots of pictures of it. ;-) P.S. Buy it!
  8. Normally I don't read posts this long, but I'm glad I did. I plan on throwing this cool little statement around alot now. :-)
  9. Somewhere, Kizanski is shedding a tear...
  10. You guys are studs! Awesome. Nice to see that such a badass guitar is in good hands. Plus, this reminds me of how cool the HFC is yet again.
  11. Welcome! You already broke one board convention though by not ignoring the rules and making your first post a For Sale ad. Stick around - many good people here.
  12. I agree. I drool over Austin's customized SC. Maybe it's because I came from classical first, but I do love the look of a sleek, preferably ebony, fretboard. I'm just too cheap to special order anything.
  13. Quick question - Is everyone in the world better than me at guitar?! Sheez.
  14. I remember a lot of things differently than my wife does. She's pretty much always right. I've learned to shut up most of the time now. Man, when I was young, I was "sure" about tons of stuff. Now I'm not sure about anything.
  15. Happy Birthday! Better late I suppose...
  16. Happy Birthday, do-gooder! Kiz, will we be seeing a party hat and candle in the old sig today?
  17. Beautiful. http://youtube.com/watch?v=UGFD_-FNEvo
  18. I know there are lots of good Dads here... My wife and kids are visiting the in-laws in Japan right now, so I am without them today. They just called and woke me up to tell me Happy Father's Day. As all of you know, there is nothing else in life that compares. Take care of them. The lucky guy:
  19. WOW! WOW! WOW! Amazing - that's a real beauty (now).
  20. A used non-crazy-boutique-extrafancytop-artist-reeserve-eagle-blah-blah-blah PRS can be had in the same basic price range as a used nice Hamer, at least within a few hundred bucks. Obviously it's all subjective, but my recent Custom 24 was my favorite electric of any I have owned. I had a huge bias against PRS and only reluctantly tried one to appease a PRS freak friend of mine. I had to admit defeat - the guitar was damn near perfect. Great tones, lots of tones, perfect fit and finish, and as Austin said, a trem! Not just any trem, either, but the smoothest most perfect trem I have ever put my hands on. I won't be buying any limited edition high end stupid money PRS guitars, but I am now all over their normal stuff. FWIW
  21. HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
  22. - Slaughter - Lynch Mob - Creed - White Lion (wait - no, that fits them fine)
  23. I have tried many whizbang practice devices, but I always come back to this one. Very easy to use, decent sounding effects, built in drum/bass tracks, metronome, phrase trainer, tuner, etc., etc. I personally think this older guitar-dedicated one seems better than the newer guitar/bass combo unit. It is quite well used, and has some surface cosmetic wear (light scratches), but it works perfectly and comes in handy all the time. I have two, thinking I could use a spare. Another dumb idea of mine. I don't even NEED one, let alone two. Includes an original Korg AC adapter as well. Ebay auctions vary on this one, but about the lowest I have seen was $75 without an AC adapter. How about $70 shipped? Thanks. -mitch
