A used non-crazy-boutique-extrafancytop-artist-reeserve-eagle-blah-blah-blah PRS can be had in the same basic price range as a used nice Hamer, at least within a few hundred bucks. Obviously it's all subjective, but my recent Custom 24 was my favorite electric of any I have owned. I had a huge bias against PRS and only reluctantly tried one to appease a PRS freak friend of mine. I had to admit defeat - the guitar was damn near perfect. Great tones, lots of tones, perfect fit and finish, and as Austin said, a trem! Not just any trem, either, but the smoothest most perfect trem I have ever put my hands on. I won't be buying any limited edition high end stupid money PRS guitars, but I am now all over their normal stuff. FWIW

I have tried many whizbang practice devices, but I always come back to this one. Very easy to use, decent sounding effects, built in drum/bass tracks, metronome, phrase trainer, tuner, etc., etc. I personally think this older guitar-dedicated one seems better than the newer guitar/bass combo unit. It is quite well used, and has some surface cosmetic wear (light scratches), but it works perfectly and comes in handy all the time. I have two, thinking I could use a spare. Another dumb idea of mine. I don't even NEED one, let alone two. Includes an original Korg AC adapter as well. Ebay auctions vary on this one, but about the lowest I have seen was $75 without an AC adapter. How about $70 shipped? Thanks. -mitch

Dave Matthews Band. I wish there was some other guy with that name that became famous instead.

"Bit" players whose bands regressed after they left

I laughed out loud. I was trying to come up with something funny, but that one killed my idea. No sense trying now. -

Very nice! -
I never saw KISS in concert. However, on my recent St Louis trip, I saw Ace at a little place across the river called Pops . This was my first experience with the burning/smoking Les Paul, the pulsing LED Les Paul and a few others. Ace puts on a heck of a show. I enjoyed it immensely. I stumbled right from Pops into a nice club next door where surprisingly, women took off their clothes for money! Please post some pics if it comes in. I'd like to see the mechanism up close.

Paul Simon. -
It's good timing on the bump, though. I have it on good authority that Hamer will be introducing a 45 fret shredder with LEDs at the next Fender Open House. It will have a Floyd both at the bridge and at the nut. Also, the entire body will be covered with an OLED display so you can download moving images for display while playing (flames, porn, etc). Actually, scratch that OLED display - I'm going to go patent that right away.

Unlike most of you lesser forum members, I am a real tone connoisseur. I have three tone, no volume.

I'm still irritated that UPS lost my Studio Custom. They paid up after, oh, three months. I feel for ya.

I never know exactly what to say, but best wishes in getting through it all.

Who makes a better Tele than the T-51?
Feynman replied to Travis's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Though I haven't played as many Tele styles as the rest of you, I did check out the Vintage Hot Rod and liked it a lot. I never thought I'd like Teles until I borrowed my friend's '62 earlier this year. I've looked all over now to find one as good as his (to no avail). So, I think that maybe a Tele is the best Tele, depending, maybe. His certainly has the magic, but I don't have vintage Tele money. -
