  4. Hi Dave,

  5. Just got back from Nashville. Sooooooooooooo David Allan Coe's "Greatest Hits" and Bob Dylan's "Basement Tapes". Among others we saw Ray Wylie Hubbard in a small club, $15, 30 feet away, GREAT SHOW!!
  6. I dig the red indicator light. Nice touch.......................not.
  7. I have a similar condition on one of my guitars, pickup covers too. I'd love to know the answer.
  8. This topic hits close to home. I my last band we had two guitars: me on true electric guitar and the other guy on 6 or 12 string acoustics with sound hole pickups playing direct through the PA and just some light reverb via the board. It was an interesting arrangement. First, I'm not that good of a guitar player, having come to this late in life, and I know it. So I tend to play at lower volumes. The bass player kept telling me to turn up the volume which I did. I also used 3 to 5 pedals to get different tones (reverb, trem, medium distortion) as I thought our sound needed it since mine was the only true electric guitar. Finally, the bass player blasted me for using pedals at all - it was ugly and messy after that. So, my advice is to tread lightly. You seem to be competing for a shared sonic space, in my case there was a wide open canvas and it still turned out badly.
  9. Double cut for me also. Best of luck with the start up, wishing you all the best.
  10. just checked on line. if it's there, it's not posted.
  11. I also love it but just can't swing it right now.
  12. Very nice, indeed. Any Hameritis in the neck pocket?
  13. Not too good....not too shabby. 60 watts or higher. 8 or 16 Ohms. I live in Jersey. Thanks.
  14. bought the mono bag from a guy on my local craigslist. brand new, in the plastic and in the box. $160. used it today and love it.
  15. I have line on new, in box, Mono for $160. Going to see it tomorrow. One of those "fell off the back of the truck" deals. Hey, I, live in Jersey; standard operating procedure around here.
  16. Thanks for the offer. What would have made him do that?
  17. I see what you did there. The girl was Julie. What was the other guy's name?
  18. Tired of carrying the guitars around in their cases. The studio we jam in is way in the back of the drummer's very large back yard. Can't leave gear in the studio so it's a typical carry from the street with amp, guitar, pedal board, music books, music stand, guitar stand, etc. I use a hand truck for the amp and all the misc. goes in a milk crate. There are fences, gates, and a large, but very playful German Shepard (I wish he'd keep his f'ing sheep out of the way). So, what is it: Reunion Blues, Gator, Mono, Protec, Fusion? Can you help a brother out? Thanks
  19. Sounds like Carvin but with better quality.......that is not to say that Carvin does not have good quality. A workhorse to me would have to be something that could do both the 25-1/2" scale and the 24-3/4" scale tones, so essentially that is two guitars. One with singles, maple neck, ash body, no trem, no bling, etc. T-51 or Tele. And one with P90s or buckers. all mahogany, no trem, no bling, etc. Studio or similar. Did I just describe the Talladegas?
  20. Thanks for all the heads-up (or is it head-ups?). Whatever, thanks again.
  21. If you have one that you wish to part with, for buy or trade, please let me know. Thanks.
