Mike_C Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Wow Hamer is updating the gallery with some killer guitars. Congrats to Mobster for have the guitar of the month not to mention a killer Artist Ultimate and the sustain block Watson. way to go hamer for raising the bar with three killer guitars. http://www.hamerguitars.com/?fa=customgallery April's Cover Girl: Red Molly Black hardware, Floyd Rose Tremolo, Sustainiac... Designer's note from Jol Dantzig: "Once in a while you've got to do something crazy to keep your sense of sanity intact. This guitar is the throwback-wackadoo shredder tribute to metaldom that we rarely build. So of course, we loved doing it. Once."

cmatthes Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Oops! Notice Jol said, "Once".When I swung by the factory in mid-Feb, that headstock logo was apparently giving Dave Brown a bit of vertigo from laying it in upside-down!
Michael_ Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Holy crap, I never knew that page was there! That 12 string Monaco with the birds eye top is astounding. And the other Monaco, with the pickups custom wound and engraved by Seymour Duncan himself, would look great with a set of EMGs.Juuuuuust kidding.
bruce919 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 That Watson is my Dream guitar. Who bought it?? I must play that guitar. (to see what I am missing)
Brooks Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 nice stuff.i bet watsons sound/play great, but i never liked guitars that mix single & hum pups; from strictly a cosmetic standpoint, it just looks wrong to me.same w/ non fenders that have a blade switch instead of a toggle. makes sense for coil splitting, i just don't like that look.
Brewmaster Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Well, Mobster's new Standard is also a Cover Girl. I think that Watson is his as well.
Craig Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I think that guitar went to BCR, so I'm guessing silentman? (The Watson)
Steve Haynie Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 The solid quilt Monaco Superpro is amazing! One piece quilt maple for the top and back! Usually I think of a guitar without a center seam as having a veneer. I would know better when looking at a USA Hamer. Would you spend more time playing this guitar or admiring it?
Mike_C Posted March 31, 2005 Author Posted March 31, 2005 I love that Superpro. I love the lack of body binding on it given all the other cool things it has going on.
Arcolyte Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...owtopic=994&hl=Little more on the standar.
