hamerhead Posted March 3 Posted March 3 'No Matter What' has always been a top-10 all-time favorite of mine. Such a great band with so many tragedies. R.I.P., Mr. Molland. 5 Quote
HSB0531 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Sorry to hear this. It was a very tragic band. My band covered "No Matter What" and it was always a big hit in the clubs. Great band and a great tune that has held up all these years. 4 Quote
BruceM Posted March 4 Posted March 4 No Matter What has been on the set list at the 4321 for at least 10 years. It gets played often here. I'm going to listen to the No Dice and Straight Up albums this morning. RIP. 4 Quote
Dutchman Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Another hero gone! I don't know who was writing their guitar parts but they sure are fun to play!! RIP Joey 1 Quote
Hamerica Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Great Band, great songs and yes, that are great on guitar. To his family, his friends, and fans, my sincere condolences. "Baby Blue" is one of those classic rock songs and "No Matter What" just a staple. Molland, Pete Ham, Tom Evans, and Mike Gibbins were fantastic musicians who where unfairly dismissed BITD because of their Beatles association. Great musicians, great harmonies and they were associated with all of the Beatles! WhoTF would not want that pedigree? The McCartney produced and written "Come and Get It in three part harmonies is excellent. Rest in Pece Mr. Molland. Damn, I'm gonna get teary-eyed on this one. Hamerica 3 Quote
