Somewhere on hear I've probably said that I'm not terribly fond of Floyds. I don't mind using them, it's just I don't use the trem aggressively enough to make it better for me than non-locking trem systems. I don't enjoy the added complexity when changing strings.

This one was set up by J Gravity in St. Louis. I'm game to trade. I'd be open to travelling to Kansas City, Chicago, Nashville, and perhaps cities of a similar distance from St Louis to make a trade.

I've got 100s of positive reviews on Reverb. I think the only challenge dealing with me is I've got a new baby and dealing with my FIL in hospice care so I'm operating on less sleep than I have historically and can be a bit of a space cadet. I'm somewhat flexible on price and trade value.

Great guitar at a very good price... "considering the new custom shops are WAY out of control price wise"

GLWTS and hope your stress level subsides 🙏

What is the pickup and is it stock?

Bareknuckle Aftermath is what I was told. The stock pickup was a Duncan. I can find the spec sheet, but something fairly common is my recollection. Like maybe a JB?

Killer pickups!

The Aftermath is perfect for the modern metal guitarist, with accelerated bass response for exceptionally fast tracking of high-speed staccato riffing. It has a crushing mid range and precise high-end articulation. But how is its high-end articulation?

The pickup is good, but it is indeed high gain. I'll admit to liking how it responds to the volume control. It turns my JEL50 from a Marshall into a proper high gain head. LOL

I love the (sometimes) flowery prose some p/u mfrs use for ad copy. It can range from the sublime to the ridiculous, lol.

That is an awesome CS Charvel. I just got a 2007 Rhoads, so I shouldn’t even think about another guitar.

…but Rob thinks a LOTTA things, don’t he?

I'm definitely writing a paper someday on the way guitar gear is named and the surrounding ad copy for shits and grins.

So much of this shit is sold based summoning demons, going to war, causing people to burst into flames, and eviscerating your audience that it is absolutely hilarious when taken all together, especially when think of just how much of this shit will be used primarily for playing 1-4-5 at the local blues jam.

Makes me appreciate Bogner's new age names for everything or Friedman's "Various names for a couple of holes" approach to nomenclature.  "Yeah, I have a Nazgûl in the  bridge, and I'm boosting that with a Stab Zone to slam hitting the front end of my Pink Taco."

That levity is so welcome, lol.

Drop a BL L500 in there. Oh my.

I have a read and black one. But I feel like I'm missing context, does someone famous have this setup?

No, I just think an L90 or an L500 would rock in  that guitar.
