Case Posted February 12 Posted February 12 (edited) Heya! My friend is selling the extremely clean 1985 Hamer Special that he bought last year. Details in link, feel free to hit me up here or at the shop with any questions. Jakeboy Posted February 12 Posted February 12 @Case, what is the neck profile? My 1980 was way too thin and skinny…is this one like that or more like a Vintage Carve? Quote
Case Posted February 12 Author Posted February 12 Skinny-ish on this one - measures about .85 at the first to .9 at the 12th. As for smell.. no odors, new or old 2 Quote
DarkHammer Posted February 13 Posted February 13 WOW, super clean like new Hamer, not something you see often! Quote
stedge Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Yes it looks good. I inquired previously but the guitar i was actually looking for (es347) then immediately popped up so i bought that one and have to sit and watch here. They are kinda similar, right? Hope it stays on hfc. glws! 1 1 Quote
soli'd Posted February 19 Posted February 19 somebody talk to me about the "shelf nut". Never seen that mentioned as a distinguishing original feature. 1 Quote
velorush Posted February 19 Posted February 19 The '96 Special FM I owned years ago had one. Worked fine by me. 2 Quote
velorush Posted February 19 Posted February 19 I will say my '80 or '81 (?) Special did not have that nut (more gratuitous pictures) but it looks like my '83 Phantom A5 did. I miss those guys! Especially the Phantom. I'm at work, so I don't have access to the Book! (odd as that may seem), but there could be some mention of that nut in there. 3 Quote
