Jeroen Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 I have a Centaura, for 2 reasons, once is the floyd, the other is the HSS configuration.. to have more sounds besides my Special FM and Vanguard.Now I hear everyone saying that the neck is bigger then the centaura, I might be soon in the market too for a Diablo....cause that is the only thing I dislike on the Centaura!Jeroen
BLuesBuster Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Not really adding anything new to this thread, but since I Still have a Centaura and both versions of the Diablo laying around in my guitar pile I have considered switching necks between on of the Dialbo's and the Centaura to reach the holly grail. I love the of-center dots on the Cent. fretboard, but the meatier Diablo neck has to take the prize. OTOH the Centaura body is slightly bigger than the Diablo which make is more comfortable and probably more appropriate for me.There you have it folks: Centaura body with Diablo neck, the best of both worlds.

I have only played the Centaura that I own, but it's damn neck is absolutely huge for my hands and is one of the widest fretboards that I have ever played. It's funny because the width of the fretboard is so wide that I practice my speed with the Centaura... it gives my girl hands a MASSIVE workout. I couldn't imagine a larger neck on a super strat. Maybe my Centaura's neck is wider than others?

diablo175 Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Diablo (I say this without having every played a Centaura, but my Diablo is sweet and I'm not a big fan of the SSH configuration).+1 Diablos. I agree- only picked up a Centaura and a Chappy one or two times but Diablos? Love that 2 H config. Got 3 of 'em and the best playing guitar I own happens to be a green Diablo with Seymour Duncan Blackouts in it! Just got it back from a techie last night and played the sh*t outta it this AM.
