ok, I now have tendonitis from all this bumping.

Seriously, I've received a lot of questions, oooo's and ah's, lots of "the Mirage is such a great guitar" , but (unless I missed one) no offers. What up guys? What, the summer is just a bad time to buy koa, its more of a Christmas wood? It doesn't go well with your complexion or skin coloring?

Just plain old "no buyers at the moment". Or am I just a lousy salesman who cannot close an order?

How are sales for you guys with stores?

Did I not make you an offer?

It's moot now, I've moved to other things, but you were going to get back to me after July 4. I didn't hear anything, I figured you weren't terribly motivated.

For me, this is the problem. I love the look of koa but I intensely dislike the shape of the Mirage. Coupled with a trem, it is a no-go. Now, if that were a Studio or Artist, we'd be having a totally different conversation.

Just my useless 2 cents! ;)

apparently the answer to that is "Yes". Good salespeople follow up on offers.

My bad. Sorry AdmiralB

The only piece I'd like to have at the moment is a Marshall Silver Jub 2554.

Or as always, a '90s Studio with a wraparound bridge in anything other than '59 burst. An unusual color, like indigo or tobacco burst would be nice. Hint hint sw686blue. ;)

Naaaah, nahsomush...Mirages rank right below Eclipses as the redhaireddstepchildren of Hamerdom. When I seldomly have foolish notions of selling my koa II, I snaps right oudda it. It's no PRS, but it'll DO, Pig...

Keep it and harbor NO illusions of whoring it out for the quick sale. Someone'll come knocking eventually, trust me... ;)

Edited to add: Sorry for stepping on your FS post. I'd buy that suckah in a heartbeat, but I'm well-represented in Mirages, thanks!

Well RobB I'm a Super Sized idiot (want fries wit dat?) cuz I am also the proud owner of an Eclipse. 2 red headed bastard step children in one collection. Maybe I should pick up a Gibson Nighthawk. Ooops, got one of those too! Apparently I am attracted to odd ball guitars.

At a boy noonan.

Well, I have a serious Koa shortage here but unfortunately sold my 2554 earlier in the year to buy an Artist Studio from sw686blue. Any interest in this as trade bait?

Super nice looking guitar ya have there zoner. I might consider a trade for my '96 Artist wraptail with a '59 Burst finish.

And of course there's that lonely Mirage still out there lookin for luv.

Hey gang,

I just dropped off a guitar at CaddieLand and took that Koa Mirage off the wall for a closer look. The pix don't do this guitar justice. In the pix it looks maybe a shade darker than Aztec Gold (Hamer's vintage natural looking finish). In person this guitar is darker and richer, more like maple syrup poured over aztec gold. The figure in the top is very 3d and does nice flips and rolls as you move it. The Koa figure is also strong on the end (sides) giving a great "drivers view" while playing.

This is a very pretty guitar, so if anyone is close to pulling the trigger from the pix posted here, just do it! You will flip when you open the case and see what the camera and the flash washed out.

Come on boys & girls. You read what RacerX said. Lets get on with it. The kids are back in school & I have bills to pay for those new shoes, etc.

Feel the luxury of fine koa.

Good, it's about time. That thing was tempting me for so long. Hope it goes to a good home.
