Caddie Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 SOLD!!! They said it would not happen,NFW. It is just too purty. But alas just too purty for me to play. So NFW has morphed into OMG FW! Most of you have seen the jpeg but here it is again. If you need more pics email me with a description of what you wanna see. everything orig except the Schaller straplocks (if you want the Dunlops on there I can reinstall them) and the strings, GHS rollerwound 10s. The guitar appears flawless to my eye. I'm sure someone out there might be able to find a 1/8 of an edge of a shirt button impression but that's it. There are a couple of Hameritis spots where the fretboard meets the neck. Nothing longer than 1/8 inch. Some would say that its not an authentic Hamer USA w/o some Hameritis. specs - ser# 645xxx - 25 1/2 scale neck - solid one piece mahogany body - beer belly bevel on the back - topped off with a 1/2 inch, hand carved, hunka hunka flamin' koa - 3 piece mahog neck - Sperzel locking tuners - rosewood fingerboard - Wilkinson Vintage Trem bridge - Seymour Duncan JB and '59 pups - perfect condition Hamer case at the low, low price of $999 plus shipping, come on dudes, it was in a 10 year (temp & humidty controlled) time capsule. noonan
RacerX Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 If anyone ever wanted a Koa Mirage, they don't get much better than this. And Caddie is top shelf to deal with. someone will be very happy with this one...Mark.
holLoWskull Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Caddie, I can't remember, but is your guitar the Koa Mirage II that has the blended heel joint like the Mirage I's? I remember not too long ago someone posted they had a super clean Mirage II with the Mirage I style blended heel, thought it might have been you?
Caddie Posted June 10, 2006 Author Posted June 10, 2006 Caddie, I can't remember, but is your guitar the Koa Mirage II that has the blended heel joint like the Mirage I's? I remember not too long ago someone posted they had a super clean Mirage II with the Mirage I style blended heel, thought it might have been you?Mine does not have a blended heel. It has a straight, glued in heel like today's studios.noonan
RobB Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Is your guitar the Koa Mirage II that has the blended heel joint like the Mirage I's? I remember not too long ago someone posted they had a super clean Mirage II with the Mirage I style blended heel. That was FrankieII's koa MirageII w/blended heel. I believe he said it was the prototype, so I assume it's the only II w/o the standard nek-joint.

Caddie Posted June 12, 2006 Author Posted June 12, 2006 I can give you "last call". This Mirage would look beautiful in the hands of one of those Milano Piasanos, no?. What's the word for Koa in Italian.....probably starts with bella. noonan
JJ Paul Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Dude - any other pics you can share? Will keep you posted either here or pvt.Best,Paul

Caddie Posted July 9, 2006 Author Posted July 9, 2006 Bump for a weekend. God knows some new guy will show up one month from now and wonder where the Koas are.Good chat you, Caddie. Hope to do business with you soon.SteveThanks for the bump Rockola. I suspect you are right with your prediction of "one month from now". That's why I won't throw it into the eBay volcano so that the pagan cannabils can fulfill their ancient and grotesgue rituals. My Koa Mirage will NOT be sacrificed! Come on you Hamer Worshipers out there. They simply don't make the Mirage anymore, its a true rarity, it could be worth thousands in the near future.{"what?"} Stand up and show your belief in one of the great unheralded (but soon to be discovered) creations from Hamer. And bring cash.from bobbymack:Any interest in a really nice T51 in butterscotch ash / black guard ala Keef, w/ factory bucker in neck and Lollar special in bridge??to bobbymack: hmmmmm........lemme tink 'bout dat.noonan
