alpep Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 When I first saw these redwood guitars I fell in love with them. I ordered 2 of them. At one point my sales rep calls me and tells me they are holding a prototype for me. No one knew how or when or who or why it happened but it did. I told him I would take the guitar. My intention was to keep one of the guitars I ordered and then I got the prototype but circumstances do not permit any more personal guitars at this time. So it is up for graps. (along with the other one)e mail me if you are interested. http://www.ovationfanclub.com/photos/alpep...62_protored.jpghttp://www.ovationfanclub.com/photos/alpep...4_protoredb.jpghttp://www.ovationfanclub.com/photos/alpep...7_protoredc.jpghttp://www.ovationfanclub.com/photos/alpep...3_protoredd.jpgeven though I reduced the size of the pics I can't seem to host them here. just click on the links sorry

Randy
BCR Greg Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 There were two prototypes, one with the belly cut, one without. The later one was the one that the run was patterned after.

Randy Randy I don't know the answer to your question. I never really intended to sell this guitar but I can't keep 2 of them. This guitar is sold with full new Hamer warranty and OHSC.
cmatthes Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 When I first heard about those guitars coming out, I was honestly a little underwhelmed. The actual guitars however are beautiful, and speaking to two owners about theirs, they really sound like a fantastic edition.Nice!

BCR Greg Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 These Redwoods are fantastic guitars. The Prototypes are special because they get even more attention than the production guitars. Somebody buy this and love it, you won't regret it.
hamersandstrats Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 The one I played at Jay Wolfe's store a few months back was an incredible guitar-very lightweight, resonant and just delightful to play.
