Guest cruster Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Hey, ElDuave, is that CAR ASAT that new G&L ASAT Classic Standard model that only comes in one color and no options but is a killer deal (from what I've heard)?
DavidE Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 "ASAT Classic Semi-Hollow Clear Orange, Gun Oil tint neck w/Rosewood board"I have an ASAT Classic Semi-Hollow ash body in green that is simply an incredible guitar and it's so light it floats. These are killer teles people!
elduave Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 Folks-All the G&L's are guitars, the Legacy is definately the new Fullerton Standard model, I'm sure the Orange ASAT is *not* a Fullerton Standard, not sure about the CAR but it was priced as such. They where coming in as I was leaving so I didn't get a chance to check them all out. I saw the Legacy from about 10' as Ariana checked it (that Lake Placid Blue looked sweet as hell) and grabbed the Orange one to take home. Days like today are what I looked forward to most when thinking about starting the biz...
BLuesBuster Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 G&L makes great guitars, probably the biggest bang for the buck for American made guitars. That orange ASAT must be a killer, mine is blonde and it's certainly the best tele style guitar I've ever touched.Edited to add: elduave rocks !!!
elduave Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 Why thanks, Ted. NAMM Anaheim '08 (not makin' it this year-again)!Here's a pic of the Orange one with the Mrs' Mac Book Pro (she made me say it like that) in lousy light in our humble kitchen. The Mac Book Pro reverses everything for some reason. It's not a lefty and there's still plastic on the pickguard.Pic of the Orange one with Mrs' Mac Book Pro in lousy light...
hamertek98 Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 The boy got mad skills.Tell us about the Monaco BASS!
Guest cruster Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 G&L makes great guitars, probably the biggest bang for the buck for American made guitars. IM!HO, G&L : Fender :: Hamer : Gibson. They recently changed the neck design and truss rod, though. Not sure how that's going to play out, but we'll see. The three I've owned (still have two and wish I still had that Comanche) have all been super fantastic. Edited to add: elduave rocks !!! You know, I've never dealt with the man, but I get the impression from this and one or two other boards where I've 'seen' him that he does, indeed, rock. I'd deal with him if he had something I wanted. Well, other than a CAR ASAT I know I can't have.
elduave Posted December 9, 2006 Author Posted December 9, 2006 Thanks doods. The Monaco Bass is totally stock, just Indigo. The CAR ASAT Classic does not appear to be the Standard series, but I think we bought it right. Here are a couple of pics, lousy indoor light with flash, bass is much darker in real life. Just been too slammed to get proper shots.

Cruster, I actually think it is the Standard after all. I'm a little in the dark, these all came in a hurry and out of the blue. Sorry about the confusion. I guess I know where I'm going to be going tomorrow sometime... Good, I could use the help!
